I don't think those characters need to be on contract to fulfill their function, though I could see expanding Shanice or Mona in the future. I am curious who gets recast or dropped first. I assume Derek is on the block eventually, but I would not be shocked to see Martin or one of the less engaging grandkids recast.

The two, to me, that need recasting are Derek & Martin! Neither appear to be engaging with their current actors. Realistically, if he were available, I'd take Sawandi Wilson (Isaiah, GH) and cast him as Martin. And while we know of Mike Manning's abilities from other projects, I'm also putting an asterisk next to him for a potential recast as well.

Three months is nothing in comparison to the nine/ten months ahead in which DAYS shoots. Most American daytime soaps are six-to-eight weeks tape-to-air, so they're closer to the standard than DAYS. Even British soaps are more ahead in their production than most American ones. And them being ahead three months also gives them time to adjust and tweak now for episodes, etc. which is smart.

i’m well aware of soaps current production model. i was just pointing out the down side of limited flexibility — three months is a long time to wait when there are actors who need replacing or to have their stories fleshed out.

I absolutely knew what you meant but, related, I wish we knew if they have an Acting Coach. Perhaps better said I hope they do!

I don’t read Spoilers for This Show but what if Ted doesn’t know he has a daughter ? We know Dana Leslie is Crazy. What if her Point of View of that Story is not the Reality of that situation? I can’t wait for Ted‘s pov here

Contract actors typically have 12-13 week cycles anyway; they’d have to wait that out regardless.

But they're 20/20 so half are not afforded even that much.

That’s where I’m actually leaning. He didn’t even notice Leslie when he passed her at the elevator.

I dont read spoilers and Im thinking thats the case. Leslie's story is full of holes, confusing and seemingly has contradictions which I feel are intentional. Its not clear what she expects Eva to be doing as Nicole's assistant. On the surface, the plan looks silly but Im sure Leslie has a deeper motive that she is no letting on just yet

An interesting twist could be Ted pinning it on his brother and in the end we find out he's lying and did have the affair with Leslie.

CBS youtube channel put up this clip of the Monday March 3rd
Leslie/Eva convo about Ted.
(likely geoblocked, so you'd need a VPN from outside USA)

Or....here's a crazy theory on my end. What if Ted is NOT TED, but his identical twin brother who has taken over Ted's like and the real Ted is dead? This could explain Ted not recognizing Leslie and why Ted needed an identical twin in the first place.

Where are people getting that Ted has a twin? I checked the transcripts from last week and did not see a twin mentionied at all

Wow, it took me longer to read the posts from yesterday than watching the entire episode.

I have always recorded the soaps that I watch so that I can FF thru the commercials.  Since GH & BTG are on at the same time, I record them both and watch GH first, then go on to watch BTG.  GH is comfortable watching for me as I know all of the players by sight and know their back stories.  BTG in totally overwhelming for me.  I feel lost with all the new stories and actors.  I'm enjoying the entertainment and flashy sets and hope I get more comfortable soon!  I agree with everyone's complaint about the furnishings on the sets, they are awful.

The actor who plays Ted has been reading and replying to many tweets about the show.
To all the theories about Ted -- he simply replies with a "hmmm", or a gif, or an expression of enthusiasm about the discussion -- but without committing to any particular speculation.

We know Ted's brother (Andre's father) died.  It hasn't been stated in the dialogue that he was a twin.  Quite a while back, someone posted the twin theory here on SON -- I think it was a speculation?

I don't think Ted having a twin was ever in any article describing the characters.
However there have been a gazillion articles and video interviews in the past 11 months, so of course I may have missed it.
As far as I can tell, it's an internet viewer theory that keeps getting repeated.  But I could easily be wrong.

I just went back to episode 2 where Ted talked about his brother and he didn't mention them being twins. The only thing he said is that he was very similar to Andre which does suggest it's more likely he's the one who got Leslie pregnant. But unless they were twins I don't know how she could get the two confused.
