Hayley is like Sheila Carter on BOLD, wronged people but then expect forgiveness and then acts like that person is wrong for not forgiving

One thing that is important to underline. This is not Bill's first affair and Dani knows about that. The fact that she told her mother she was not that concerned about the other affairs because it was not under her roof is very telling. Dani is acting like this because she cares about what people think. She is vain and superficial as f-ck. And I love that.

Dani and Bill are toxic together and apart and sooner or later will reunite. More sooner than later. The question is who is going to be next in Hayley's path of sleeping with married men.

I agree that this new soap has NOT been slow, AT ALL.

I imagine there are so many women because this is a matriarchy & in addition to that, the production is very female-driven, which IMO is a very good thing.

I also agree that this is the - or one of the - strongest introductions of a new show, ever. But, this should not be like the beginning of LOST or 24. We did not need right off "shock & awe". It is more than enough that we've landed in the deep end of the pool, dramatically. Just think about all the complications we are into, already!!!

To me, this has been, definitely, worthy of the last week of a Sweeps period.

Now, about telling other fans that it is unlikely that classic soaps will be rebooted. Here I am not prepared to be criticized. For years I have told fans this is unlikely & I have given reasons. In like fashion I have explained why very successful classic soaps are so expensive to prepare them for streaming. IOW, so many episodes, etc. For example the only reason PC would be more accessible than GH is the total number of episodes involved.

Back to telling fans "unlikely". These fans are stuck. The past is too enticing. Whether AW or GL or AMC & not only because of nostalgia they are just in love with what they had & it prevents them from moving on. So telling them it's not gonna happen, was the right thing!

Now, I am talking quite a lot about a possible soap renaissance. And, I say, "A rising tide lifts all boats." That is because I see BTG as - maybe if we're lucky - a facilitator not a competitor.

Hayley is more Brook Logan than Sheila. Leslie is without a doubt of Sheila analogue. Brooke acted naive and righteous inthe begnning too. I bet once she puts that ring on her finger, her attitude will change and start stepping into her inner b-tch

 

yeah but unless they are lesbians (which we have none confirmed yet), you need men to pair them off with. The imbalance sets up a scenario where you have a bunch of women fighting over a man and IMO thats not a good thing

Hayley is far far from Sheila Carter. They are not even close as character types. I agree... More close to Brooke - the trashy Bradley Bell version of Brooke. She is far from the OG Brooke of Bill Bell too in my opinion.

In my group we just said this, well, technically we said Bill & Dani, sooner rather than later, will have sex. No idea if it will be hot, angry sex. Time will tell - and also the writing will tell. LOL!!

Who was it who said to Dani, that she picked a fine time to start worrying about what other folk thought? I noted that line at that time! And, indeed, it came back to bite her in the butt! If you'll pardon my use of the common tongue.

 

But, it is a classic trope. The set-up is more regular than not.

Dani, I think, is more upset that Bill actually left her for his side piece thus breaking the facade of their life and marriage together. It was all about keeping up appearances for her. 

But, in a way, it seems that’s nothing new for the Dupree’s. Anita and Vernon are merely keeping up appearances and trying to salvage Martin’s reputation (whatever it is that he did) by forcing their whole family to attend this trifling wedding, lol.

Hayley right now is acting like Brooke towards Macy in 1999 when she stole Thorne. She is giving her the... "Oh I didn't want this to happen... But you can't stop it either. " She is full of it. Brooke was written for decades in a similar manner after that.

I see what you're saying but that's the out-of-character Sheila Carter from recent years.  OG Sheila was much more like BTG Leslie.

Absolutely. Leslie definitely fits the OG antagonist vibe. She is my favorite. I'm not lying.

I'm just wondering if Hayley gives birth to a child... If they are going to make it seem like she is incapable of raising it... And then maybe Dani can takeover the baby with Bill. And that be the karma for the homewrecker. Hayley gives me a vibe that as soon as Bill leaves her, which is going to happen... She is going to spiral hard. Or maybe they will go the Brooke Logan path and turn Hayley into the star and she will takeover the entire community. LOL

No way. Hayley the underdog? I don't think so. To me she is the worst kind of opportunist. May I remind you these people took her in, treated her as if she was family & we see how she repaid that!!! Plus, now, she wants to make nice & all sing Kumbahyah, or however that is spelled. Cookies? She brought cookies to try to make nice with Nicole! That dog won't hunt.

Some have said that there are no bad people. I happen to disagree. Bill, Hayley, both bad.
