Members j swift Posted February 2 Members Share Posted February 2 I predict they'll be a medical crisis caused by the nurse who held Abe hostage, and that will lead to the end of the B&S plot by the end of the month. The woman's husband and pets died, and they treat it as if this is subject to be mocked. Meanwhile, we are told to take Julie's grief seriously. They played the wacky side of the character throughout Abe's kidnapping. Now it would've been melodramatic to play the guilt associated with the realization of her loss, and how it affected her psyche. They've underestimated Cole's ability to play a more nuanced version of the character so that, as an audience, we can sympathize with her pain. The show feels too disjointed when one day we are meant to learn something from how Julie copes with loss.
