I will defend Carter & Ridge's friendship. Carter has only had the Forrester's as his family for years. I think he's officiated over all of their weddings over the years, multiple times. He's also at almost every Forrester family holiday, so I will indulge them with the "brotherly bond" they have. My main issue with this story is Ridge & Brooke. He's the most arrogant pompous character ever. And having Brooke be this pathetic is difficult to watch.

Also, I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but the sets lighting is atrocious, especially Finn and Li's offices. All of those ridiculous shadows, it looks so awful IMO.

With all that being said, I can't stop watching. I guess that makes me as pathetic as Brooke

No, excuse me... that doesn't make you pathetic - that makes you a person with extremely healthy levels of patience and calm nerves. I myself... have neither... and have tuned out for the time being, because it's unbearable to me.

I agree about one thing - we should crown Brooke - the most pathetic character in daytime. KKL will forever be my favorite, but the character at this point... is gone. G-O-N-E! Gone Girl! We have an empty character that parades around with the name of Brooke, but not even one of the original characteristics of the OG Brooke. This is not Brooke as created by Bill Bell - it's Hope Logan in her 60s.

It makes me so sad to see the missed potential. Brooke could have had a second Renaissance with this storyline. Move on from Ridge, get vindictive... destroy some lives, sleep around with Hollis-LEVEL of hot guys. Be a woman of 2025! And not... this sad, confused pathetic creature who only exists in CHAUVINISTS'S fantasies.

Hahahahaha amazing point. But these "people" for sure will find some other way to spin it so its negative against KKL. Laughable.

This soap really feels like it's being written by a non-soap amateur writer, especially after yesterday's episode.

This soap opera is not good, and it shows.

Good point. It's as if two different writing teams are working on separate stories and never talk to each other.

It feels like Bell has written Brooke out of fear -- that giving her what you suggested (and that she deserves) would somehow ruin her for good. Never mind that he redeems human garbage like Sheila and Luna over and over. Brooke Logan is one of daytime's saddest stories.

My problem is that the show TELLS us that Ridge and Carter are like brothers and never SHOWS us. They show up in a scene and one of them announces "You're like my brother." It doesn't work for me.

In a fit of rage, she'll do the unthinkable and kidnap Eric's beloved stapler. Hiding due to the statewide manhunt that was called, she makes her way to the Spencer mansion. Luna stops her from destroying the stapler and in return is given a full pardon for her lessor crimes, freeing her to scheme with Electra's stalker.

Absolutely! It is sad, since the character once upon a time was a driving force for the show and had decades of powerful storylines - yes, some of them disgusting... but at least she was the trigger/the heartbeat of many great moments... anything Brooke got herself into led to drama and excitement. Worst case scenario - it was fun to laugh at her over the top messes.

Now... even her low-budget lingerie revival that lasted for 3 episodes... was... so forgettable... and her becoming CEO did NOTHING to move the character in a new direction. Something which was A MUST. It would have been such a perfect moment to see her follow her own words when she slapped Ridge and pushed Taylor at the door... wishing him to be happy with his "second choice". That should have been the moment where she turned as evil and vindictive as possible trying to erase any trace of Ridge or Steffy from the company. She should have been acting like a boss and woman scorned who means business! She should have hooked up with someone 10 times hotter than Ridge and made it incredibly public. That would have been just GREAT.

But what do we get instead of great - we get Bradley writing her like a sad dog who's been kicked out of the house for eating the dinner and is coming by the door to paw at the handle and try to get back in. Why is Brooke still obsessed with Ridge? Does she have some serious mental health issues? This is times and times worse than the SFTV era. Because even at her worst, Brooke was never NOTHING. In 2025, Brooke is NOTHING. I am scared to think what the future holds.

No wonder KKL is spending all of her time in Italy being part of incredibly exciting projects, shooting commercials and being a face of brands all over the world... where people cherish her and give her what she deserves. Bradley is giving her... absolutely nothing. I won't be surprised if some day we wake up to read that KKL has decided to part ways. And I would have never said that this is possible years ago. I still don't think she'll go... but still... Who will blame her?

Although Brooke is the most egregious example of character assassination, all the female characters are suffering from horrible writing. It's such a contrast to how it used to be back in the good old days when B&B had such an extraordinary and diverse group of powerful female characters: Stephanie, Brooke, Sally, Sheila, Taylor and Macy. They all brought something different to the canvas.

Everything since Sheila changed the wine bottles and Brooke drank real rose and then cried for 120 episodes that she kissed Deacon... has been BAD. What year was that fiasco? I distinctly remember how awful that was and... it's 2025 and the show is still going down and down. Sometimes I'm even surprised at how Bradley can think of NEW ways to be horrible. Just as when you think he can't get worse, he manages to outdo himself.

He really is creating some new post-modern avant-garde art form - addictive drivel that re-invents how awful it is every single week.

    • Yeah. I wasn't feeling it either. If it was meant to be a chem test, it didn't work. I don't think so. Because I think Neil and Liz moved into that house after Stefano "died", and Neil lived there until he went to go see his patients and never came back

    • Canada aired a repeat today Tues. Nov. 18. So after being a day ahead for the past week, they will now be back in sync with U.S.
    • I was really starting to enjoy it, but after Anspach, Shelton and Keane left, it got a bit blah to watch. Jane Russell was great as Rose, Buddy Ebsen as Toat was interesting as well.  If a second season were in the cards, I would have signed  Karen Carlson on to a contract and cast a couple more women as regulars. The cowboy aspect could continue. Sam Elliott, as always, was fantastic,  The camaraderie between Roy and Quisto was really good as well. Cybill... she was sex on a stick and unapologetic.   Poor Robin Wright barely lasted five minutes, though, before being raped and murdered.
    • I love it that we've gone from daylight to dark -- Luna's even returned to work -- but Steffy is still sitting next to shirtless Finn on the sofa.

    • Is the current DiMera mansion the same mansion Stefano moved into around 1983?  I remember that house was out near a lake, and not far from Doug Williams' night club.  In fact, there was a tunnel connecting Doug's Place to the DiMera mansion.  If it supposed to be the same house, I'm fairly sure it is not the same set.  But I'm aware sometimes soap opera sets change without any explanation
    • Amazing work @slick jones I remember watching and enjoying Yellow Rose but losing interest once they went to self contained episodes, Interestingly that's the opposite of what Dallas, KL and FC did. So maybe YR should have been more episodic at first and then go to a fully fledged serial. But really the timeslot was the problem -Sat @10 was not the spot for a serial. And Rounders turned out to be a poor lead in. Maybe 9-11 Tues following A Team would have helped.
    • LOL!!! He looks like he is reacting as if Luna just passed bad gas or something.
    • Doug Marland came on board shortly before Gloria Monty, I believe. Jackie Smith was in charge of ABC daytime at that point. All of the characters in place were not his creations. Alan was created by Irving and Tex Ellman who wrote the hurricane story a few months before and brought in Alan, Scotty, David Hamilton, Dorrie and Lisa/Lana. His first character was  Bobbie in Jan 78. Apart from wrapping up the Lan/Lisa story he pretty much kept all the stories going just adding new elements.
    • She is 29... she's inching closer, and we know how important age is on soaps.
