Well, there are scenes where Kristen literally tells Brady she's going to be his new mother in 1997.  I'd link them, but you know, it's impossible to do that with all the copyright strikes.

I know it's no EJ SORAS'ed situation, but aging Belle/Brady too soon messed a lot of things up in the Days universe.

What a great opening scene

Tate and Holly were really sweet and romantic today. But I still feel like they’re missing the mark with them as a couple. Holly being so fine about Sophia’s pregnancy is not the way to go. She should be more angry about it, which in turn would allow her to get closer to Doug III. And Tate should have more animosity towards Doug III. I don’t know why they’re not really pushing a rivalry/feud with them yet.

Speaking of Doug III, I enjoyed his scenes with JJ. I liked seeing him interact with a different character and that he has someone around his own age to confide in about his feelings for Holly. And I’m glad that Days remembered that Jennifer asked JJ to keep an eye on Doug III.

Every scene that involved Jada would have been a lot better if this Fake Rafe crap wasn’t a part of it. And EJ being so campy is the wrong choice for this storyline as well.

As for Fake Rafe kissing Belle…

Well, right off the bat, you are talking about Madam's mostly cherished Ivan. He has a name. but as to this tem, I have no idea. And, it certainly wasn't used much, at all.

Meanwhile, this picture was posted on Twi/x yesterday. I don't know the context, unfortunately.

@Mona Kane Croft is not asking about Ivan.
In the storyline/time period that they're asking about-- that was Vivian Alamain's henchman/servant whose name was "Gus Pascal"

I don't know the answer to the question, what was the term Vivian used to refer to Gus's position when he was working for her.

Actually this time it was not Ivan.  He was a much younger guy, very handsome, with dark hair.  He was only with her for that one storyline. The assistant had a name (of course), but Vivian didn't call him by his name, she used an unusual term which I assume means servant or assistant in another language.

Is this who you mean?
Character name was "Gus Pascal"
Character description here but it might be incomplete:

Edit to add: stats from Jason47.com
Kamall Shaikh appeared (recurring) as Gus Pascal for 97 episodes, from Oct. 30, 2009 - Sept. 21, 2011

Oh wait, you said 10 or 11 years ago for only one storyline?
Well then nevermind. I probably picked the wrong person.

Yes, Jane has pointed out my error. If we can come up with a date I can find this answer. So far I've just now looked at Viv's first week & no luck yet.

A question to clarify: Did this other manservant come on after Ivan was introduced? I ask because I just got a brief glimpse of Ivan on 3-11-92.

@JAS0N47Are you by any chance aware of a manservant to Vivian who was not Ivan but was younger, with dark hair & good looking?

Yes, this is the actor.  Thanks for the links.  Now I hope to find someone who remember what Vivian called him.

Janea4old is on the right track.  This guy was on DOOL around 2009-ish. So he was on the show after Ivan.  Jane has identified the actor correctly.  Now, I'm still trying to remember what Vivian called him.

As of 11-4-2009 Viv is obsessed with Carly & charged Gus with locating her. He reports finding her - in Salem. Viv laughs & declares, "Carly is nothing if not predictable."

The bad news is she's consistently called him "Gus" for the last 4 days.

11-9-2009 Well, this was bound to happen. Who is the baby Nicole has with her all the time? Also, I am amazed at how large the cast is.

Sorry, Mona, still no luck.

    • Tbf it's not unusual for a family when they are dealing with some bad news that changes a life to use song to give out hope.Especially black families. I personally had to deal with that very thing this weekend. Partly off putting, but at the same time, I did get the point and it gave me a bit of hope in the moment.      MM is definitely acting. But Smitty is just so passive. It could turn into quiet strength at some point, but for now...passive IMO.
    • Am I remembering correctly that the Madison's lived in a Spanish revival-style house? I have a vague recollection of the fireplace looking especially Spanish in style. It is unusual that Montecello had so many architectural styles.  Obviously, that might occur IRL.  But, look at other east coast soaps and there is a definitive style that is throughout (because it was styled by a set decorator) regardless of the income of the occupants.
    • @kalbir MSW was a powerhouse for CBS. Angela Lansbury was a superb actress. In 1985, TV viewers were tiring of the primetime soaps and the like. People wanted storytelling and MSW was great at that and had great guest stars. Storytelling -- an amazing and novel concept. CBS Daytime by 1985 was beating ABC so CBS was on the upswing.
    • I'd say just the opposite - conflict means they will find out and then be at odds. For the limited amount of time people on this show have conflict (if they aren't named Nina or Ric, I guess).
    • Totes mcgoats (aka I agree). But, now the character needs to move forward.  Clyde's exit was 12/11/24.  It is May.  She and Chad have been on one date. I don't think they've slept together. And she was only planning on sticking around for a year.
    • That is one of the best insults I've heard in a long time.  I burst out laughing when Kat called Eva that.  LOL Their scenes, of course, were really good.  Colby and Ambyr have so much chemistry.  The only thing I'd change is Kat saying "you're dead to me."  That's a phrase usually said about someone you care about.  I would've preferred something like "You will never be my sister," or something similar to that.  Nice contrast at the end with both mothers/daughters:  Kat comforting/consoling her mother, and Eva being locked out by her mother.  Yeah, I wasn't a big of fan of the singing either, especially after your daughter's life has been destroyed.  What?  LOL And I also agree with those that thought Dana/Leslie's scenes with the Dupree's didn't feel right since Eva is not a Dupree....unless she is.  But as of right now, she's not.
    • Trisha Mann-Grant, Ambyr Michelle, Sean Freeman are destined for bigger and better things. They need to move on as soon as their initial contracts are done.
    • Daphnée Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant on Instagram live, 5/5/2025 just concluded, saved here https://www.instagram.com/p/DJSsYb7PDv8/
    • I really need to see Anita in a scene that isn't with a family member. In fact, I would have preferred that she would have gotten rid of the mob and had a one on one with Leslie to lay down the law with her.  I'm going to say it, Mike Manning has been completely lifeless on this show. Other than people's superficial fondness for him, I don't get what they see in him as an actor. I never saw him on DAYS though. The show had another really strange cut right before the opening credits where it looked like they almost cut off Nicole mid-sentence.  Kat/Eva are carrying this show on their backs. Lock them in for lifetime contracts, I beg.
    • There's a 1980 scene of Victor and Katherine in the Chancellor Estate living room where they went over a contract that would put Victor in charge of Chancellor Industries, but it was rewritten that Katherine brought Victor to Genoa City so he could run Chancellor Industries.
