Lynn Martin on IG.  She's from Washington DC, and received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in DC.
MFA from Columbia in NYC.

My mother and father are no longer here. So I am asking everyone within the sound of my voice or sight of this page… Celebrate me home. Come back with me. Watch this show. I am so proud but grew up in a family where we were told that “bragging” is wrong. Forgive me, Mommy. Can’t hold this one back. Although I never fell for a boy from Baltimore, there were a few in Silver Spring, Shepherd Park, North Portal Estates… #iykyk #homecoming #cbsdaytime #audramcdonald #baltimore #beyondthegates #dcnative #shepherdparkdc #shepherdpark #motherlesschild #imnotatouristilivehere #washingtonian

As is often the case I was joking. I knew she didn't mean "bangers & mash". I asked Bing CoPilot to tell me about it:

"Bangers and mash" is a classic British comfort food. It consists of sausages (the "bangers") served with mashed potatoes (the "mash"). The dish is typically accompanied by onion gravy and sometimes peas or other vegetables.

The name "bangers" comes from World War I, when sausages were made with such a high water content that they would often burst (or "bang") during cooking. It's a hearty and satisfying dish that's loved for its simplicity

Now that all the writers have been listed for BTG, we don't need to post the daily credits.  Just need to post whenever there is a new writer or director or producer is listed for the first/last time.

Just curious, why in the world do they keep misspelling Xavier as Xaviar? Wouldn't his union object? Credits are taken seriously.

Another thing, I finally saw that Michael dude who I saw listed with the writers in a non-SON blurb pre-launch. He only showed up on the very long Wed, closing credits among tons of other producers. Have you noticed that this show has more producers than I've ever seen? And I've been a credits watcher since way back when, even when credits were full screen.

Jamey Giddens just tweeted that he has completed his time at Sistas.
He's now writing *only* for BTG.

Welp. My work here is quite literally done. Tonight's episode marks the end of my time at @SistasOnBET. Immense thanks to Tyler Perry and Mark Swinton for the incredible opportunity and CONGRATULATIONS to the cast and crew on the Season 9 RENEWAL!! #SistasOnBET

He should be very proud of his work there. He left the show as the #1 cable program among Black viewers and I know the fans loved what he did with the show. I hope he carries that same positive energy to Beyond the Gates.

I just saw a video of Tyler expressing his annoyance with the creatives who took over some of his shows, the choices they made, and viewing numbers lost and was wondering if Jamey was one of the ones he was bitching about but maybe not if the show he tookover still maintained good ratings. TP is very aggy here

That is interesting! I don't know if he includes Sistas in that but I know he's always been resistant to having writers rooms, especially when they tried to unionize against him years ago. One of the biggest complaints people have with Tyler's writing is how slow it is and the lack of follow through so I imagine that might be a struggle for him when he see's others moving the story forward. I mean, The Have and Have Nots was a primetime series and I wanna say something like a weeks worth of time passed over 7 seasons. He has a very unique way of writing things.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
    • I also never understood Alex's friendship with Sonni or keeping the secret of Marah's paternity.  Not exactly heartbroken about Ms. Sally being ushered to the Hereafter.

I'm sorry but I'm a glutton for punishment. Would love to see this woman OWNING the canvas. Telling off Leslie who tells her she's the head b!tch.
    • And in case anyone is confused; Rusty was hired by HB to work undercover and infiltrate some gang sabotaging Lewis.

Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of Murder, She Wrote was October 23, 1987 (Tough Love). Prior to the finale, the last Dallas episode to finish ahead of a new episode of The Cosby Show was February 22, 1985 (Shattered Dreams).
