I wonder how many of those who find Finn/Poppy disgusting because of their familial connection were cheering and thinking that Thomas/Hope was a hot and sexy couple, not caring that they were step-siblings. (Not to mention any of the horrible things Thomas did to her)

Brad Bell is a disgusting piece of [!@#$%^&*]

Poppy is a groomer who preyed on her 18 year old VIRGIN nephew whom she was tasked to look after. She was "lonely and looking for a connection" is typical groomer [!@#$%^&*]

and Brad having Finn say he was "of age and adopted" does NOT make it okay. I'm so sick of him using Finn as a way to [!@#$%^&*] on adoption

The writing for that scene was a cringe eye-roll. Hearing Poppy romanticize having sex with teenage Finn was...something.

-- More bad writing? Luna going on about "all the lies" Poppy told her and still continues to tell. I mean, this is the Luna who killed two people.

BTW, what is $Bill's endgame with Luna? For how many years does she have to live with him?

I keep reading the dailies and I'm really confused about Li and Jack's marriage. Li talks about how much she resented Jack because she believed he slept with Poppy 20+ years ago. Was Li being passive-aggressive during those 20+ years? It sure seemed like Li was fine with Jack until the truth about Finn's real parents came to light. Are Jack and Li still legally married?

Of course, none of this makes sense because the entire storyline was made up when Poppy came to town.

While the whole story is gross, at least, it's interesting and totally fits within B&B's usual fare. Finn has been treated as if he's a Ken doll with absolutely no shades of gray or flaws. It's a huge disservice to the actor and character. Finn barely flinched when it was revealed that Steffy slept with $B when she was married to Liam. C'mon! I think this will make the Sinn a far better couple in the long run.

I do feel badly for RP because she's actually made Poppy interesting. Even though she's the same age as TN, she's going to get a lot of really hateful comments.

Side note: I can't wait for Liam's reaction when he hears the truth about Lunacy's dad. His mind may explode!

We'll see how Bradley will write himself out of THIS new mess he created. Is this what he is writing just before a new soap comes to air? Is this all he's got?

@Maxim A: Nothing.

Take out Lunacy and tell me what stories do $B, Will, Electra, Liam, Deacon, Sheila, Li, Poppy and Finn have? You could even add Katie because that Batie potential reunion vanished. They could've at least spent the last few months reconnecting Ivy/Liam - even one scene a week. Think of how rich it would be for Steffy to try to lean on Liam after the Lunacy reveal only to have Ivy blocking that!

Meanwhile, Ridge and Taylee moved in together in a hot minute. Yawn.

The FC takeover is falling flat, which take a lot of effort to do that! Having Brooke yet again show why she's the smartest *Forrester* would breathe new life into that tired FC office.

In the old days, Spectra kept the FC office happenings interesting because the Forresters would unite against a common enemy. The manufactured in-fighting between Steffy and Hope wore out fast and was illogical. Even before the Finn nonsense, why would co-CEO Steffy focus her energy *hoping* HFTF would fail? She wouldn't.

Family dinners could be awkward for Steffy going forward.... Her mother-in-law tried to kill her, and her stepdaughter kidnapped her and put her in a cage. Talk about strained conversations around that dinner table.

    • The AMC hate came from Jamey Giddens/DC and their industry friends, IMO. For whatever reason I always felt they targeted the show, and it was wrong. AMC ratings were decent and even went up under Pratt (Yet, he was fired). The ratings were also good under Broderick and lowered out after her interim.  There was no reason to be upset with the show other than it being slow. They literally played it safe and did the best they could in 2010 and 2011.
    • I have very detailed synopses of all 1976 storylines for the soaps from the Daytime Serial Newsletter. Please let me know if you are interested in a particular show and I will post it in the appropriate thread. As I stated they are very detailed, so I don't want to clutter up threads if posters are not interested.

    • Surely we (and Billy Flynn) are not going to be saddled with a character named Aristotle Dumas? This isn't 1970's Edge of Night.
    • What annoys me a little bit about the "day players" is they sound a bit too "Brooklyn-ish" sometimes.  Obviously, the show was taped in New York City, and the actors are all New York actors, but Monticello is supposed to be located in Illinois or Ohio.  Occasionally, they grab actors and actresses for small roles who have VERY distinct New York accents, which contrasts sharply with the main cast, none of whom have noticeable accents (except for our dashing European gigolo, Eliot Dorn, of course).  The heavy Brooklyn accent works fine if the character is a bookie, or the owner of a pawn shop, or a guy who's selling stolen guns on the street corner.  But when it's a steadily recurring character -- such as the first Mrs. Goodman, who worked for Miles and Nicole -- it's pretty jarring to me sometimes.  And you'll see it often -- such as an "under-five" character who witnesses a car accident, or a character who witnesses a shooting, or the occasional desk clerk, or waiter.

    • That's always been my thought. I can't imagine that the show would play up the unseen AD so far in advance without them casting a *star*. After today's episode, I wonder if he'll somehow be connected with Diane. It was strange that Diane mentioned her very distant family today. I can't recall Diane ever talking about her backstory. Maybe he's her much younger brother?  It's also possible he's connected to Diane during her time in LA. Sally's already said she crossed paths with him. OC, I think Dumas is Mariah's mistake.... As a side note, it was good to see some mixing it up - Adam with Clare/Kyle and Sharon with Tessa.
