That would be better than what we currently have. I can't believe what I'm saying... I want something completely absurd to happen, so I won't be made to watch people call this woman Taylor anymore.

Well, it's off to a good start for the week. Two stories running concurrently is a good sign.

So NOW there's a possibility that Poppy might have lied after all and Tom might not be Luna's father. Well...wow. But it gets Li back on my screen so I don't mind it too much. Meanwhile, Luna is slowly and surely bonding with Bill. Bill smh.

And Steffy started her next move to Operation Get Forrester...be sure she's in in the company.  It was weird to watch Steffy try to play so humbled. I would have thought Brooke or even Hope would have seen right through her. And they would have to talk Carter out of doing anything since he's more about the business. So it was interesting to watch.

Ridge still ain't s@#$.

-- $Bill reads Moby Dick before going to sleep? Who's writing this sh_it?

-- Seeing Hope, Carter, and Brooke stand in a circle and discuss Forrester is actually hilarious. They sound like 3 people you wouldn't put in charge of a lemonade stand let alone an "LLC."***

*** LLC is used to show the writers are experts in writing about business.

-- Why is BOLD using establishing shots taken in the summer?

--  The Writers' Guild Award nominations were announced today. For daytime, Y&R, GH, and DAYS all received noms. BOLD didn't. How bad are you to be the only soap not nominated?

Imagine the Daytime Emmys this year if B&B gets snubbed by Beyond the Gates, Neighbours, The Bay etc in the show category.

Hope and Carter look silly and never seem to be working.

So who is head designer with Ridge gone? Nobody?

How do they stay in business?

Ugly jewelry, perfume and Hope's failure line isn't going to keep them afloat.

Li: I think we both KNOW who the father is, DON’T we Penelope!

Penelope: Actually I have no idea who Brad Bell will say the father is this time because he doesn’t know what he’s doing, either, but thanks.  So who is it today?

-- Nice to see Carter and Hope having the conversation they should have had about Steffy BEFORE hiring her back.

-- Have to say it again: This Daphne Rose actress is hilarious, as in hilariously bad. She thinks tilting her head and going in and out of that accent is "acting."

-- I still don't understand why someone as influential and as famous as Daphne Rose would risk everything by working for the Forresters as a scam artist.

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
