Seriously though, what a bunch of losers

You could almost say that Ridge, Brooke and Taylor actually are clinically insane.

I mean, we could've at least gotten some close ups of Finn, like we did of Carter, in that one episode. That way today would've been somewhat interesting

Well he did look good in those pants.

I'm just watching for entertainment... bad entertainment. I'm laughing at times and the rest of the time rolling my eyes.

I'm taking @Jeff advice. The world is a hot mess and a little distraction from it isn't a bad.

I have a vision of at some point - Steffy and Ridge approaching Brooke’s office in a couple of weeks - after she’s put in motion - turning  the tables on Steffy, discovering the perfume chick was a setup and about to  kick her to the curb.  Brooke took a sample of the cologne to the lab and found that it has some kind of pheromone in it that first attracts - then masks a nasty scent after it’s worn on the body for more than two hours….so Brooke scraps it or is about to - but they don’t know yet.

Enter Ridge “So you were doing all of this, to get the company back to us, and so now what Logan?  You release this high end perfume and - then what,  what’s your plan?”  Enter Steffy “Sorry, Dad, but I had to hear this myself, because I never believed this whole lie for one second - lemme get this straight, you started all of this scheme of you being the CEO to try and cover how underhanded your daughter is and now - this perfume is your first move to a high end all you can grab fashion house?  All on the back of - well, the perfume is a great idea but….”

Brooke: You can both save it. What’s my plan you asked?  Steffy - let me tell you something.  You have your grandmother’s name - but that’s it.  You will never have her intelligence nor her keen mind.  She was a force to be reckoned with.  You are a child and there is zero comparison beyond the name.  Ridge - I loved you, this story is so old.  But it wasn’t true, because l loved a person that did not exist.  My Mom was right when she said we would never have this life in common with the Forresters.  Whatever you THOUGHT you were going to get by coming here today - you think I’ll hold onto the idea I had before - because I WAS going to disrupt Carters and my daughter’s plan - and YOU THINK after bedding Taylor and Steffy engineering FRENCH FWEE FWEE MISS whoever to come in here with a FAKE perfume to undermine your OWN COMPANY?  You think I’m going to give it back to you - AFTER I see what you’ve ALWAYS thought about us!?

so -  The cologne was a great idea.

But …… I discovered in the lab that it’s nothing but a ruse.  You would REALLY harm your own company too — GET IT BACK?  I have proof and I know what you did Steffy.  Enter French chick.

“you see she has come clean after I confronted her.  She’s corrected the formula and we will indeed move forward with the REAL formula.

Brooke smiles, turns around to the pictures still on the shelf.  Of Steffy, Steffy and Finn.  Steffy and Ridge and Eric.  Grabs the Steffy and Ridge picture, and another picture.

In the words of one of the greatest women that ever LIVED.  “THERE is a NEW CEO in town.  AND IT’S PAYBACK TIME”.  Tosses pictures smashing at their feet.  In come Carter, Hope, and Katie, arms crossed.

enter Eric and Donna.  Eric: “so it’s true? Steffy? Your plan was to hurt Forrester just to get it back again?”

(messy but quick and very just had to get to Brooke repeating that scene of Susan Flannery tossing pictures on the floor).

Sounds like you two are talking my language as well. This has been a very rough week so I will take distraction (or sleep apparently) how it comes.

Hehe. Brooke called it the other day, too.

Thank you for this! I especially loved Brooke's line - “THERE is a NEW CEO in town.  AND IT’S PAYBACK TIME”.

BRING IT ON!

The best line she's had in a decade!

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
