I could never see them turn Jason all the way into a Steve Hardy, but I definitely could see him taking a backseat to his kids's drama.

I mean, that's the way it SHOULD be.  Not just for Steve Burton/Jason, but for Maurice Benard/Sonny and Laura Wright/Carly as well.  They shouldn't still be playing the same kinds of stories that they played 15-20 years ago.  Let their offspring be the ones doing the stupid [!@#$%^&*] while they get frustrated with them, "because it's clear you didn't learn JACK from what I went through!"

People never stop making mistakes, but they do try and learn from them as they get older, unless they're just total sociopaths, lol.

I had been hoping that was the way that Jason's storyline was ultimately about to go...outside of him having an occasional adventure cuz JASON...when PM was writing. Because his story was clearly doing a sins of the father visiting onto the sons kinda storyline in terms of his kids.

Pairing Jason and Sasha is like pairing any other two people on this show: it's not the least bit organic or logical.  It's motivated strictly by giving two actors/characters something (or someone) to do.

I think there is some character-driven basis on Jason's end, more than anything with Anna, or when he was with Britt, etc. but from Sasha's side it reinforces how much they just pass that character around.

That would have been worth a watch, although Jake was shipped out as quickly as possible.

OMG! Thank you. Finally a scene between Laura and Lulu that feels a little bit LESS than plot pushing. Finally, Lulu got enough self-awareness to think about the gravity of all the stuff that happened in the last 4 years and how it affected LAURA. It finally felt like a scene between a mother and daughter and not a moment too soon. And I giggled at Lulu's Nik joke.

Oooo at even Monica banning Drew. Drew who continue to be written as a prick on the verge of a breakdown. And CM continues to play it to the hilt.

Outside of CS looking like a whole snack, I didn't care about those Willow/Chase scenes. Until the end, that is. Chase can't have kids? Lord...

I'm sorry, but GO, JASON!!! I know it's just the writers are just trying to cover their bases to keep Sidwell on canvas as Frank's Flavor of the Month as long as possible with these Anna/Jason scenes just like the Anna/Laura scenes before it, but at least Jason gave a much better reaction to learning Sidwell was in town. And of course, he has no problem wanting him dead already. Since Laura and Lulu were discussing Lucky eventually finding out, I'm down for a Jason/Lucky team-up.

I give credit where credit is due. MB was playing something subtle in the Sonny/Kristina scenes that I did not mind. It was around the part of the scene where Sonny sat down in the chair. Other than that, I could have cared less about them. Moreso when Natalia walked in.

You know I'm happy for Liz to have scenes. So her and Lucky's misadventure was slightly confusing to watch, but still worth watching as the Cyrus storyline takes another step.

Good to see Lucy and Martin in scenes again.

No sex again with Drew? Smh. It will never cease to amuse me how Nina became an afterthought in her own story.

Very. I am still livid. Especially because before that writing change announcement, we had been discussing that on these boards for a little while.

But I am also bias. So I should probably hush.

I like Cody, but I am afraid that the writers are ruining the character so that they can exit him during May sweeps.

I think that after Jason talks to Michael, he will be convinced to take credit for the baby.

I think that the reveal of Gio as Brook Lynn's son leads to the breakup of both the Brook Lynn and Chase marriage and the Ned and Olivia marriage. Ned will get together with Lois again while Chase will look for romance elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure that it has been known all along ever since Rena came back to GH that there was an absolute ban on ANY romance between her & Wally Kurth, so I'm afraid that trips up that one item in your predictions for today. Sorry to burst that bubble if you weren't aware.

Who was Jason to tell Sasha about a father's right to know about paternity 🤣 if this isn't irony.

Years ago, before I was exposed to any classic soaps, I used to wonder what was happening on shows like General Hospital 30 years ago. Low and behold it's the same characters doing the same things. Sonny Jason and Carly are all caught up in the same situations in 2024 that they were in 2004.

Just like Viki was dealing with DID IN 2008 and 1968, Katherine was moaning about Phillip in 2008 and 1978, and Ridge Taylor and Brooke are still in the same love triangle in 2025 that they were in 1995. It's amazing (and bad) how long these soaps all drag the same stories over decades.

Did y'all see this? Is this unprecedented?

Varni said.jpg

Not unprecedented.  Normally viewers without Hulu have to wait a few weeks to see each episode for free on abc.com.  Varni/ABC sometimes does this special "same-day free availability" for a current episode on abc.com --  for the benefit of viewers in affected cities when part of the episode is cut off in some cities (due to "ABC News"), but there's no official preemption.
That is what happened January 30 when Varni tweeted that, due to coverage of the Wash. D.C. aircraft collision on some channels.

So if a GH episode is partially cut off due to ABCNews, and you don't have Hulu, then check the Varni/GH social media or just simply check abc.com later that evening.

If they don't do that free upload to abc.com, then they'd usually officially preempt the entire episode and then air it in fullness the next day everywhere.

--
Fyi, to allow for the practice of national or local channels sometimes interrupting the last five minutes of a GH episode, GH almost always uploads the last five minutes of every episode to the official GH facebook page, but not to the show's other social media.  This is automated, or planned in advance, to be released at a certain time of each evening.
This prevents them having to bother with adjustments such as
manually doing sameday uploads to abc. com or preempting altogether.

Thanks for the detailed explanation! When I saw it I was literally amazed because it was posted so quickly after the tragedy & it was just so gracious, generous, etc.

-- All these 20-second scenes are on my nerves. None of it breathes.

-- Does Cody's place smell like horse?

-- Why is the Corinthos gym so empty all the time except for the couple characters having an argument?

-- The hospital set is so underpopulated that it's sad.

-- Kai is STILL in the hospital? And no visits from family or friends?

-- The coming up clips at the end of the show are increasingly useless.

The Frank Way. The preview clips have been nonsensical and random for years now.

The first Jackly kiss was 21 seconds. WHY? Don't they know how short 21 seconds is?!!! I swear I miss 6-7 minute scenes.

This has just NOW occurred to you?

Frank only has all these sets to impress us that he can, not use them well!

And, today, previews for next week are VERY LATE!

Now, did anyone AT ALL have it on their Bingo card that Cody KNEW Brook Lynn was pregnant that summer so long ago at boys & girls camps across the street from each other? Talk about surprised?!! Yes, I was. And, he never told Dante. In all these years he kept her secret for her. But, he couldn't wait to tell Anna that Sasha is pregnant with Jason's baby!!
