KKL deserves better material than what she's given the last decade or so. Like... Bradley at this point can't afford to lose her. I am not saying he will, since I know KKL loves her job and is very loyal to the show... but still... You never know these days. If KKL leaves this show, then the whole thing will collapse. She's the only thing holding it semi-together, since she's been here from day 1 and is an iconic character that's engraved in the entire DNA of the show.

You know what? This appears to be a solid week so far.

All the drama with the Forrester Takeover appear to have a momentum to it. Zende about to quit only to be a double agent. Carter already thinking about turning it into a lifestyle brand (STFU Ridge with you shading that). And now...Carter wanting Brooke at the CEO. YES, PLEASE. That will make Ridge shut up reeeeeal quick. It's a juicy idea.

And then the stalker storyline. It's giving nice B plot right alongside the Takeover storyline. And...of course, Katie would be the one to get the pictures. lol. I liked how she went to Brooke with it. I don't like how they are handling the firing of Electra. At least tell her something. And I thought the actress really put in the work with her dramatics. But I continue to think that it's going to be Sheila that figures Remy out.

At least Brad chose the right history to re-spin - BeLief:

1. Like 1993, Brooke is willing to give FC back to the Forresters because it's the right thing to do.

2. Like 1993, Brooke is betrayed by Ridge.

3. Like 1993, Brooke will wake-up and realize the Forresters don't give a you-know-what about her.

Let's hope she doesn't revert soon. This story actually has a lot more potential. More than Ridge, Brooke taking over the CEO position should be to protect her three(!) Forrester children's legacy.

The show should explore this angle, especially RJ and Rick. Bridget doesn't care, but it's still her father's company.

I would actually not be that surprised if Eric comes around and supports Brooke. He may not like Carter and Hope's takeover, but he's always had a soft spot for Brooke and supported her. When he finds out her reason for accepting the CEO spot and how Ridge couldn't wait to get it on with Taylor he might switch sides.

Ridge was an a$$ to Brooke. He didn't give her a chance to even speak.

Ridge is disgusting.

Bradley writes all the male characters as weak. Ridge is another Liam.

Where is RJ? He should be all over this story.

Alright let me get today’s 12/24 episode out of the way, especially after yesterday’s disgusting mess of Ridge not even giving Brooke time to get one word in. Time to bring back Rick, bring on Dino, and takeover Forrester with a “blood Forrester” clause.

It was good to see Pam and Bridget again. I really wish Bridget would stick around. The flashback to Christmas 2022 was a bit odd, considering Brooke had just sworn off Ridge at the time.  RJ was nowhere to be found at either the Logans or Forresters. Donna not even acknowledging Brooke’s absence or vice versa with Logan’s missing Donna. Just WTF. Heck Electra and Ivy weren’t even at the Forresters.

Ridge getting his first PEN from Taylee has “stapler”, “mints” and “ten toes!” written all over it.

I’m going to assume Bill spent Christmas at the commissary with Lunatic while Deacon chased Sheila around Il Giradino in a Santa suit. Meanwhile Thudley got a stocking full of coal on Christmas morning.

This Christmas episode is SO BAD it's awesome. I'm loving that every scene, every line is a laugh riot!

-- The camera panning those Xmas ornaments like there's some Horton family tradition involved.

-- Brooke pretending she decorated that tree.

-- Katie showing up like she's dressed for a night at the strip club.

-- Zende looking like he hasn't put down the fork since Halloween while RJ is nowhere in sight.

-- The kids are off in some other room, as usual. So much "It's all about family" while the kids are nowhere in sight.

-- Taylor giving Ridge his pen from "our first Xmas together." Dumbest psychiatrist ever.

-- Carter and Hope under the mistletoe, without a single ounce of chemistry.

-- Katie presenting Brooke with a plate of food, and Brooke proceeds to eat a grape. A single grape.

-- Brooke tells Katie she's "not giving up on Ridge" -- the day after catching him with Taylor.

-- Taylor telling Ridge "I know this must be a tough Xmas for you" while Ridge replies "Because I lose my best friend." Taylor has to add "And Brooke."

-- Steffy telling Taylor "You're home...where you belong...and Dad agrees."

-- Doormat Brooke texting Ridge a Merry Christmas with an XO.

-- Chubby Zende reminding everyone that it's really all about the birth of Jesus.

-- Singing "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" without any of the kids around.

The entire show was an epic fail, but worth watching if you laugh at all of it.

    • Nick told Victoria that he and Sharon had married in England.  Victoria was shocked.  Then she realized he was kidding.  He confirmed it was a joke and they're platonic. I don't even know what to say about that.
    • It's funny you say that because part of the entertainment of the trials on the show are all the day players who come on as witnesses and jurors.  I'm certain it was like the Law and Order of its time. It employed so many New York actors, that if you look close enough, there's usually someone vaguely recognizable in the courtroom.
    • I will defend Dante.  People already suspect he may be a bit unstable from time to time (from his time as a prisoner).  And, he's taking care of other people's kids from time to time.  So, he has reason to be cautious with those in his care.
    • Josh continues to try and milk Abbott/Newman rivalry. First it was Billy/Victoria, then Kyle/Summer, then Noah/Allie (that worked out well) and now Kyle/Claire. Do we have any inkling when Billy Flynn will arrive and who he will play? I'm sure Cole's illness will mostly play offscreen. What's in store for Nick and Sharon? Is it time to put them back together? I can't see any other romantic options. Nick has no children on the canvas to play off, as Christian is never seen. Sharon has only Mariah onscreen.
    • I would appreciate (if they're not coming), for future scripts to refer to them by their iconic hairdos.  For example, if Hope needs to call Chelsea because Bo has Sepsis, I'd like Shawn-D to say, "My Mom called Chelsea (the one with the sassy short black hair) for an update." Also, new rule, if Melanie does return, she needs to dye her hair back to red.  I googled who she was five times during Victor's funeral.

    • Broderick, thank you for all of the info [I edited for space]. I am so grateful for everyone filling in the blanks for me. I suspected the Nora/Eliot scene was very important and it was setting something up but I didn't know what. Can't wait to see it play out. The two actors had such a great back and forth. I should have made the Paige/Patty Hearst connection. I thought Paige was in love with Brian from the first episode I watched but it seemed as if they were brother and sister. Steve kept being affectionate with her so I assumed he was the love interest. Then she was affectionate with someone else and well..she's a very busy woman. I can't wait to see Frances Fisher show up. (I'm trying to be vague because I don't know what would be a spoiler in this storyline) Now it makes sense why Draper would be upset. I didn't get the whole background of why he didn't go to NY. I'm a sucker for good acting, so I might still side with April and Margo, if the writers don't give Draper more to do besides yelling.  He had more chemistry with Logan, but I know that's not happening.  Something else I noticed: the show really takes care with even the smallest parts. The acting is superb. Too often, I noticed on older soaps they don't take care with the recurring or day players (Ryan's Hope was so bad with this that I couldn't make it through some episodes). It's only been six episodes, but so far, the casting department was spot on.
    • I thought Dante was overreacting.  Gio made some mistakes but he's young and he tried.  It's not like he dragged two 14 years to a party and made them get blackout drunk.  Dante can have the initial upset reaction, but to go on and on was a bit much.
    • His (adoptive) nieces.  Chelsea and Stephanie.  I think Abby was involved too, but I am not sure if they are related lol.
    • That was such a dark story. I never liked Swamp girl after that. And then the dating your cousin thing. I think wasn’t Max in a triangle with two of his cousins?
    • Thank you, @j swift.  I'm probably more sympathetic to Draper Scott than most audience members are -- even though I'm absolutely CRAZY about Ann Williams & her bizarre Margo Huntington character

The more I watch these episodes -- and I've watched several of them a zillion times, I'm ashamed to admit -- you realize there's a WHOLE lot of passive-aggressive hostility brewing inside Margo Huntington about Draper.  She wants to take April AWAY from him and recreate the childhood that she never got to experience with April, because of the adoption 25 years ago.  Draper has sense enough to realize how heartless and vindictive Margo really is about other people's lives and their feelings, but he bites his tongue rather than poison his wife's mind about how horrible her mother really is.  And I admire him for that.  He's a sweet boy.
