They need to dump that bulky cheap looking sofa for something more elegant and slim lined.

And a different side chair also.

And showing the front door from the living room entrance just points out how the set has shrunk. They need a different set up so it appears the front door is further away and there is a grander foyer.

In total agreement. I blame on Billy doing this revamp for having that sofa.

See? Showing the front door to me...though I was happy for the camera angle...just showed that it looked...well...cheap. But a different setup...I think it is totally possible. I saw a whole other section was just added to the Abbott living room set and seeing this set again, they widened out the left area. Ed Scott just needs to keep right on going.

Yeah, that week was very much giving...setting up the next set of dominos to drop. Like GH, Y&R totally lost the momentum they had going with the wedding. But...at least it looks pretty.

I'll give Billy this much. At least he's a good enough friend that he went to deal with the Giggly Heffa. But ugh at a Sally/Billy/Giggly Heffa triangle. Other than that...did they just completely get rid of the Chancellor Park set for us to be still dealing with this cgi cuz darn.

I love the Audra moment. But I loved that whole dynamic throughout this episode. I think it was THE story beat this week actually. We saw Nate and Audra growing closer as a couple all week. And it felt like a nice climax to that on Friday with Audra opening up in front of Devon and Lily and them accepting her. I'm sure there will still be some drama between them all, but it was a nice moment of growth.

I was Team Michael in the Michael vs Phyllis scenes. We rarely get the fire from him and Lauren anymore.

More like Billy against all the Abbotts. He had a very tense scene with Jack yesterday.

Re: today’s episode: The Jack/Traci scene was a great idea—linking Diane’s abandonment of Kyle to Dina’s abandonment of her children—but the dialogue was sooooo stilted. Probably sounded eloquent on paper. There are still so many things that need to be fixed on this show beyond how it looks.

Oh my God! Don't tell me that Mariah is about to get a story. Not that it's the first time she's been kidnapped. lol.

I'm happy they played the beat of Alan hypnotized Sharon. And yes...another plot movement in Sharon remembering that she did not run the Giggly Heffa off the road. Finally something!!! And I liked that Sharon is willing to do it again to see if Heather was really killed by her. Go on plot...THICKEN. That said...I could have done without those Jordan/Ian flashbacks and that horrible cgi, but at least it explains how they came together. It should have just been done sooner than now.

Billy and the Giggly Heffa was background noise until she gave Billy a reason to back down from losing to fighting Victor. That resonated actually. And we know how I feel about Billy and his woe is me act.

The fact that the number 1 soap is obsessed with this awful CGI mess when you have GH with just countless sets, is pathetic. Y&R probably has as many sets now as it did in the 70’s. Redoing the Newman Ranch doesn’t make it less stupid that everyone in this damn town spends all day at Society or Crimson Lights. Even Days of our Lives has more sets and it’s the cheapest looking of all the soaps.

    • I did some research and the story wrapped up with a caretaker responsible for Georgina's death who then  tried to do away with Laurie but a vision of Georgina spooked him and he fell to his death. So there was a supernatural element.
    • AI has it wrong. David was working as an aide at PV Hospital due to failing to save his brother's life and refusing to continue as a doctor. His true profession was revealed later. Edna had divorced him while he was in Vietnam and he had no reason to be in contact with her. He had no idea that he had a daughter.  Ruth was Ruth Martin, she was still married to Joe, not Jeff. He was not deceiving Ruth as he believed that Edna was his ex. The poisoning story happened late in his run and probably introduced when they knew Gleason was leaving. AI's interpretation of him as conniving seems to based on that short lived poisoning story and other misinformation. For most of 76 he was involved in the Ruth/Joe triangle to the point where Ruth was ready to divorce Joe and leave town. Joe had to have surgery, David operated and Ruth suddenly realized she wanted to stay with Joe despite all the problems they'd been happening. David then got involved with Christina with Jeff and then Edna as complications. And he arrived late 75 not 76.
    • Interesting that they started going into a supernatural direction with ghosts - I don't think they really did that before? I wonder if it was a response to getting put so late in the afternoon and I guess trying to appeal to that former Dark Shadows audience?
    • That makes sense then! Is there a place where you can read more Daytime Serial Newsletters? They sound very informative. Thank you

    • Yep. Access to the Vault works fine but upon downloading attempts an error message pops up.   Maybe it is just a temporary glitch.

    • Downloading isn't working at all.
    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark

    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
