It was dumb. Have the man come through the damn door like a dignified adult. Like what were they going for? A nod toward Sam and Clarissa from Clarissa Explains it All? Sometimes I wonder if Ron or whoever wrote this was dabbling in drugs or something b/c it makes no sense.

For what it's worth, I believe the window climbing entrances were a deliberate plot convenience to keep Steven and Doug IIIrd from being in the same room together for reasons we might understand later…

Are you thinking he's actually Spencer?

Hope missing her dad's funeral b/c Bo had a spasm is stupid (as well). There's no way Hope would not attend his memorial service.

KA couldn't be there due to a scheduling conflict.

image.pngLast week we discussed Ciara's poor choice of funeral garb.  But can we talk about what Cat decided to pack for her caper with in Vancouver?  Setting aside that we have no idea where she got all of these clothes (because they clearly aren't Abigail's).  Who wears head-to-toe leather when trying to be inconspicuous?

The DAYS costume department is out of control.

The jacket was Gwen's, originally.

That's an impressive piece of knowledge!  How did you know?

I can't speak for the OP, but for myself, I just go to wornontv.net and go to the Days page for recent wardrobe or to their character pages.

This shows that Cat, Lani, and Gwen have all worn this jacket

I guess it's cool that the production recycles (I see Doug III is wearing Philip's old jacket), and good for Caterina for wearing vegan leather.  But I assume within the DAYS universe, Cat wouldn't have borrowed from any of those other women's closets. 😉

It also still doesn't explain why she would wear that outfit to catch a criminal.

Half an hour later…

@janea4old you've sent me down a rabbit hole, and I am not embarrassed to say that I've bought two of Leo's cardigans (don't worry, I'll style them to look much less kooky).  Thanks for the link!

And by you saying this, I feel like I already know where they are about to go. Jesus. But again, it'll give SSH something to do.

OK. That makes sense, but I would've simply dragged it out until KA was available.

Yes, I think so, too, I mean, she was available in 2 days time. Rearranging things that much would have been an excellent decision to make, if you ask me.

My predictions are wrong 90% of the time, so it could've just been a random event.

I mean, I thought Chad killed Abigail while he was blackout drunk, so take that as an example of all the predictions that I missed.

It's all in my memory. I saw it, and immediately knew it was the same jacket.

Absolutely. They could've drawn out Julie's grief before the funeral a bit longer. Added a few more beats. It could've given SSH more material, as they could've used those days for everyone to come in and have 1 on 1s with Julie about Doug. Then the day of the funeral could've simply been about Hope and Julie coming to terms with Doug being truly gone--as it really doesn't hit until you see that coffin and it being lowered into the ground.

Well it's just a prediction but it doesn't seem farfetched. Again, I think it would've been more impactful had a grown Douggie LeClaire came to town causing a ruckus for Hope and Julie versus his son.

Thanks for humoring me, but it is equally likely that it was just a convenient way to block tape all of SS and SSH's scenes on one set, without have to make her move around too much.
