Chad’s attitude towards Cat pisses me off. As if he hasn’t done anything heinous (faking a brain tumor, anyone)? I’m glad Cat stood up for herself.

To me he's just smug and unlikeable onscreen. I've never cared for his work. As I don't think he's hot either, he does nothing for me.

I think he should show Cat some compassion. She did it to get her mother back, not out of malice. Also, faking a brain tumor is a big deal and Chad didn’t have a noble reason for doing it. Chad comes across as unlikeable now.

In a way yesterday's show was an expected letdown from the prior 5 days. As to Chad, I find him likable. I think most people are doing the best they can do. Chad is more than just civil to Cat. He is somewhat solicitous of her. 

I didn't understand why each "couple" got a room with only one big bed. But, then, once they did, why not have the guys bunk together & the gals bunk together? Too obvious, I guess.

Smug and unlikeable really is RSW’s acting style, if you think about it. 

He’s not meant to play the good guy/hero/romantic lead, yet Ron never seemed to realize that and continues to write him as such. It’s never worked for Alex and it’s definitely never worked for Ben. 

That’s why if I were writing it, and I got the chance to bring Ciara back, she’d be coming back a grieving widow.

And I’d definitely find a way to have her change her kids’ name from Weston to Brady

Anyhow,

The general consensus here is that RSW is the worst, but I swear, he doesn't bother me much.  I have never had much affection for Ben or Alex.  I just think RSW is a regular, run of the mill soap hunk.  I actually don't think he comes off smug-just dumb.  The writing for him is a bit obsessive and RSW should have been let go when VK left.  I just don't think any of that is RSW's fault.

I know people dislike him based on RSW's real life personality, but I don't know enough about that to say.

He doesn't generate enough interest in me to hate him. He just bores me. I figure  he owes his career to looking good without a shirt on. That's fine for the people who enjoy that. I will say that I would prefer it if he was on a bit less.

That's how I feel about him too. He is just there and if he vanished tomorrow I'd barely notice

It would give Ciara her spark back. The pairing with Ben ruined her, and saddled her two small kids that she didn’t really need. It was like she had no identity anymore. She was no longer Ciara Brady, just Ben’s little woman. 

As for RSW, I’ve heard rumors about the type of person he is in real life, but nothing definite.

When he first switched from Ben to Alex I could not stand all the affectations & pretensions plus calling Victor Vic & Maggie Mags! But, that didn't last too long.

Oh, I agree 100% on Ciara.  She's been damn near ruined.  I just don't really think it's RSW's fault.  Ron had the stupid idea to make a serial killer a romantic hero.  I thought RSW was quite creepy and did well as evil Ben.  Like Leo, RSW is shoved down our throats when they decided to make him Alex.  

I suspect once the new writers start we will see a decreased presence of both Alex and Leo.
