Question is: Who Would Be Crazy Enough to Pursue Kristen? Lol

OMG

I think if Kristen Gets A New Man it must be A New Character, maybe a Hot Shot businessman who will make Business with DiMera and Doesn't know their Reputation for Mental instability, Or Is Kinda Crazy Himself!

BTW, ten bucks says that Kristen bought Brady a Cybertruck.  He noted that there was a long waiting list online.  You know Brady is dumb enough to think it is cool.  And Marlena's place probably has a charging station in the garage.

Damn… Tate’s a lot more open than I would be lol

But I’m glad that he had someone to talk to about the mess he’s gotten himself in to. Him and Brady actually do have good father-son chemistry. I like the way it was all written too. Tate was very self aware of the mistakes that he made and he didn’t come off as being selfish and unfeeling in regards to Sophia, and that kind of writing is always a good thing. And it helped us build a lot of sympathy for Sophia as well. There weren’t any biases in the writing today and I hope that continues.

I didn’t expect Tate to confess everything to Holly so quickly, but I’m still looking forward to seeing how this all plays out. Leo Howard’s acting in those scenes between Tate and Holly definitely needed some work though lol he needs to add more emotion and more depth into scenes like that.

I should have expected Kate to double cross Vivian. There’s no way she would have kept quiet about Vivian being in Salem, especially after all they’ve been through. But Kate staying quiet about Victor’s letter being forged could lead to something good happening, for every character involved in this storyline. Just drop the friggin campiness because that’s the one thing that’s screwing up this storyline.

And, Javi’s got some nice moves

Hopefully, the rivalry/jealousy of Rafe isn’t dropped. That was actually a pretty interesting trait that Javi had and it could lead to something really good happening. I like the way that he was there for Gabi today and that he encouraged her to talk to Stefan. Since this storyline is pretty much unfinished, I wonder if Stefan will be brought back at some point, either played BB or a recast.

And yes, Javi is being written kinda similar to Leo, which could get really annoying at some point but the difference is that (Sorry, Greg Rikaart) Javi is young. He’s supposed to be immature and messy, in some ways.

And the cliffhanger was good too… even though it highlighted what lousy cops Rafe and Jada are

Too bad that today was kinda boring though.

As much as I dislike the storyline, I still think that the Greene siblings still have a lot of potential, especially now that Ron is gone. And onscreen, because Aaron now knows the truth about everything. Aaron seemed to have a little spark today, despite the actor still lacking lol I would totally be on board with him being the one to kill Clyde, who needs to die as much as GH’s Peter August did. It’s well passed the time.

I think it could be really interesting if they continue Aaron on that path, and can somehow weave Holly/Tate/Sophia into it as well. I guess I have a weakness for the sweet, nerdy, sidekick/underdog

I did laugh at Gabi today, even though it was totally in character for her to blame everybody but herself for Stefan “leaving.” Maybe it would have been better if Stefan actually had left on his own and Vivian had nothing to do with it, but I don’t dislike this storyline. I really wonder if Paula/Jeanne or somebody is gonna pick up this dangling plotline with Stefan. There’s still a lot of story to be told there.

And yeah, poor Chad. He/Billy Flynn deserve so much better than this.

    • There has been some confusion about Michael & facial burns. Please see this post: https://bsky.app/profile/shallotpeel.bsky.social/post/3lqkrryu54226 I've chosen to put this here instead of the Classic Thread because it is now with the appearance of recast Michael that this has come up. Different places online, including at least one podcast, remarks have been made about how remarkable it is that he is without facial scarring. Other fans say it was clear from the first that he did not have facial burns. What is included in this post is 2 screengrabs where you can see his face at the hospital & a very quick edit of that day in the hospital.
    • Put me in the LOVE KMH camp. As a poster alluded to above, her detractors seem to come from people who first experienced the 80s Emily actress. And that's often the case with soaps, myself included. I enjoy the original actor so much that I just never take to the recast. However, KMH played Emily far longer than the original - for almost 20 years - and when she had great material, she was great. I get the sense she didn't like playing the whiny oh-woe-is-me Emily which was all the material she got from about 1996 until she took over the Intruder in late '99/early '00 and got to play a stronger kiss-ass woman who didn't care what anyone thought of her. (Some would call that a bitch but, if a man was in that role, he'd just be called a smart and savvy businessman.) Her relationship with Hal was great. The transformation was done realistically and I thoroughly enjoyed those years the best out of all. Once the writers decided to break up those two, they went back to writing Emily half the time as whiny and pathetic. I preferred when the writers made her stronger.
    • Hahaha - I do. I've always been the type, though, that can't miss anything. I get FOMO, so I'll not skip episodes or fast forward anything. There are only a few TV shows I've dropped because they got so bad vs. sticking it out to the end.  The promise that GL 1997 is better is what keeps me going. I especially want to see the fallout of Blake's lie about her twins and then Annie's descent which I believe won Watros's Emmy.
    • Rita's rape is an episode i constantly search on YouTube hoping one day that it will show up. I always feel like I may have seen it, but I was only 6 at the time and can never figure any of the things I have vague recollection of

    • The rape was in 1979 after they were married. Blake was the result of Holly cheating with him while she was married to Ed. I believe she was born in 1975.
