Members BetterForgotten
Ron Hale was very underrated and gave so much to his characters on RH and GH with little appreciation, even when the writing just wasn’t there. RIP
Members Liberty City
I agree. He really did. It's a crying shame he wasn't given more to do, especially in those final years as Mike Corbin.
Members detroitpiston
I always liked him as Mike and was sad to see they recast when they brought the character back. RIP
Members Taoboi
I always loved him as Mike with his enigmatic, but kind energy. My heart goes out to his family. RIP.
Members DRW50
For some reason I thought he had passed away a few years ago. I'm not sure why. Ron was a wonderful actor. He was, initially, a delight as Roger, before the show wrote the character into a corner. He was also great as Mike Corbin, a character trope that often doesn't work beyond a guest appearance, no matter how talented the actor is. Yet something clicked here. Ron always knew how to play the impossible in a man whose eyes twinkled, but you never knew quite how much life was behind them. I always appreciated seeing him onscreen - he took my attention even when I had little to no interest in Sonny or Sonny dramas. He had a real warmth to him but never in a way that felt false to the character of Mike or Mike's dark history. Anything I've ever read of Ron Hale as a person was nothing but kind and gracious. Sorry to hear he's gone.
Members carolineg
I truly loved Ron Hale as Mike. He gave such nuanced, underrated performances. I especially loved his relationship with Brenda (obvi) even after Sonny left her. May he Rest with the Angels. He will be missed.
Members Vee
What a class act, anywhere I saw him. RIP.
Members titan1978
Sad news. He was one of those solid actors that soaps used to be full of, there to ground everything around the pretty people falling in love. He made what could have been a cliche work for years as Mike.

Members applcin
Wow, in just the last few years, a number of those first-year Ryan's Hope actors have left us: Ron Hale, John Gabriel, Michael Levin, Michael Hawkins. I actually thought Ron Hale was older. Even though he was under 30 when RH started, he seemed older than that to me.
