B&B: October 2024 Discussion Thread

Taylor has survived being shot at, kidnapped and held in a castle after an airplane crash, nearly freezing to death at Big Bear and etc... and has been left at the alter more time I can count, but she develops broken heart syndrome watching Brooke in lingerie and Ridge kissing in 2024 - nearly 4 decades after she met that jerk? This is like the missing toe and the mints. Another one of Bradley's insane idiotic twists. So Ridge will have to CURE her by marrying her, and till then we'll have to watch her faint every time Brooke is in a fishnet?

I really don't have the patience to The same old taylor/Ridge/Brooke Drama, I thought my love for RB would be of help but even her can't save this mess!

Also the weak confrontation between Brooke and Steffy was a disappointment!

I will forgive Bradley this recycled storyline ONLY if it means he is freeing Brooke to sleep with someone else. My mouth is watering at the thought of a scandal in this show. A true scandal. Like Brooke did them back in the day. But I doubt Bradley has it left in him. He is completely spent... and can't do even taboo and cheap scandals anymore.

What in the world happened with Thomas/MA? Can someone fill me in?

Is Bradley trying to cancel the show? I've been watching Bold since before I learned how to talk, my mother was pregnant with me, watching it... And I've never seen a season so confused and chaotic as 2024.

I would not even rate it 1/10.

Thursday was not was I was expecting, but as @Maxim has pointed out, this has been a really uneven four weeks since the Lunacy thing wrapped. It's probably because they've done a lot of rewrites.

1. Carter (LSV) + Brooke reaffirmed they should've. Carter + Hope could be interesting, especially because of #2.

2. Katie dumping $B. Thank the heavens. HT really knew how to deliver facts about being $B second choice.

3. Brill! Oh, I was just talking about it earlier this week. I never thought they'd go there again.

4. Cassandra Creech should be on more frequently. If Brill doesn't fly, send her that way or to Deacon.

5. Broken Heart Syndrome is a variation on Widower's Syndrome. Better that diagnosis than the alternative. I really was going to ditch B&B if they went down the dying path.

Considering the past 2.5 years have been truly disastrous for B&B, the past two months at least are watchable.

1. AGREED! I don't know about Carter and Brooke but he definitely has a thing for older gals!

2. HT was a pleasure to watch in that scene I was Thrilled for Katie!

3. I Much Prefer Brill over Bridge since TK took over, I never felt much chemistry between Him and KKL but Lots of It between KKL and DD!

He has been popping up and disappearing lately, It's really like they don't know what to do with Thomas, which I believe they never did, notice how he shifted in character from 1 storyline to the next for the past decade!

Taylor: Damn it I AM DYING!   Lollll.  Please do. Girl, bye.  If he’s trying to turn people off to the new Taylor - this will work for sure.  Watched 5 minutes and that’s enough. 
 

She’s like - completely disappointed.  That she’s not dying lolll.  It’s time to give her the Caroline special.  Oops, our bad, yes you are.

The writing is horrible. Now Bill wants Brooke.

I'm still waiting for the scene where a medical professional will tell Taylor and Ridge that the only cure for broken heart syndrome is penetration.

I am trying Beyond the Gates for sure, hope to see people over there.  I saw Tamara Tunie is in the cast!  So excited over the cast.  I would love to see Nia Long, Sharon Leal someday.

And perhaps somewhere in between, Katie will fit in. I'm just glad they're going to give Carter someone thing to do again.

Brooke - What does this mean, Ridge?

Steffy (opening the door and answering for her father) - What it means, Brooke is that... for once in your life, you have to think about someone else other than yourself.

Ridge - Steffy, please... you don't need to advocate for me.

Steffy (wearing a mini skirt) - Yes, dad. It's time someone intervened. My mother has a chance to live, Brooke. And you are not going to stay in her way, are you?

Brooke - What are you exactly asking of me, Steffy? That I let, the man that I love, sleep with your mother, so that she can recover from a mystery heart issue called a broken heart syndrome? Are you kidding me? No way. This is not happening.

Steffy - I knew it would come to this. I guess we can say...Goodbye to Hope for the Future, then.

Brooke - What?

Steffy - You decide Brooke, you either give my father to my mother... or your mistake-daughter is fired from the company. It's quite simple. In the end... it's just 1 night.

Hope (talking to herself behind the door) - Don't let me down, mom. Please don't let her kill my line.

Brooke (crying from her left eye) - You mean only for 1 night?

Ridge (kinda smiling) - The doctor said we may need to try a couple of times, till Taylor's heart rate gets back to normal. Then I'm all yours again Logan. I promise.

Hope enters... (wearing a white skimpy dress)

Hope - Don't do it mom. You don't have to sacrifice Ridge for me. I can take it. Let Steffy fire me. She can't stand my success and the fact that her husband massaged my body for weeks and weeks and we didn't even tell her. He also told me I'm the most amazing woman he's met.

Steffy - What did you just say? Repeat what you just said.

Things are about to get dirty and physical... but Brooke screams. 

Brooke - Silence! Everyone. I've made my decision. But before that... I want to say something. Couple of weeks ago... I did something I regret.

Steffy - Oh, here we go again.

Brooke - I'm sorry Ridge... I made a mistake.

Finn enters the room. 

Steffy - Finn, what are you doing here...? 

Brooke - I slept with...

Steffy - What is going on?

Brooke - about to faint from drama - With... Steffy's husband... Finn. 

SHOCKED faces of all the people, dramatic music.

Brooke - And I'm pregnant.
