I liked the Jason scenes and the JaSam montage.  It's fitting to me for them to end out the episode since most of Sam's important moments have to do with Jason.  Steve did a good job.  Poor Kelly.  Fired and dead and has to listen to some of her least favorite cast members give monologues to her "dead" body lol.

NLG/Alexis did a good job, but it didn't really give me any feels.  I never thought the Sam/Alexis bond felt that organic or strong.  NLG just basically elevated the writing here with her performance nothing more.

I don't think Van is too bad.  He's has moments where he can reel it in for sure, but it doesn't bother me.

Unfortunately I do think Sasha will get pregnant.

I kinda thought Sasha couldn't get pregnant again after losing Liam. Am I wrong about that? Of course it doesn't matter in the soap world. Same with Willow. Didn't she go through chemo during and after her pregnancy with the little girl baby? Again, see above about soap world. Seems that since neither of these women should be able to have more babies, that surely they will both be preggers now. It's good and soapy so I am down with that.

That MichaelQ is a freaking dog if he can drunk-boink one woman and then go home and boink his lying wife. That was pretty gross, even if he did take a shower.

Since I'm a Jason fan and an SBu fan, I appreciated his finale monologue with dead Sam. I enjoyed him as Harris Michael on Days, so to see a little of that come out in his speech about Sam, well, I liked it.

I know NLG's tears were real, so that's all I can say about her performance. Seeing Dante and Rocco at the end hearing her blurt out that Sam was dead, well that was unexpected.

Just wow. I didn’t like it when Ron killed Abby over at DAYS out of bitterness and I don’t like killing Sam out of bitterness. And they could not have made the scenes today more final. I actually thought Nancy and Kelly did well over the years to sell the late in life relationship especially when it’d be all the David girls. I truly felt for her Alexis in those scenes today.  As usual Frank couldn’t let the damn scenes breathe.

Michael agreeing to keep the secret of cheating on his wife after being upset at her for kissing Drew is just wow. He was definitely raised by Sonny Corinthos. And to know he’s gonna justify keeping his secret because he knows Willow is lying about it being one kiss. And then had sex with his wife less than 24 hours after cheating on her with his ex and her friend

.

Why does Cody hate Drew so much suddenly? I will say I do enjoy CM as Drew and it’s because of this storyline and usage under PM initially. Making him sort of a sleeve works for me. I always hated Ryan Lavery but this is working.

I liked Liz being the one to explain things to Jason and sort of be there for him. “I figured you would outlive me, you were supposed to.” Steve really was great. Like others I knew he could be un Jason like as Harris on Days but man he was so good today. I hated JaSam but I felt their love and the heartbreak today.  That montage definitely showed Steve and Kelly genuinely had some great chemistry at one time.

This poster has a real hate boner for Brook Kerr and Portia for some reason. She was perfectly fine today. I’m confused what was so awful about her performance.

Rocco and Dante walking off the elevator hearing Alexis. Wow!

I get her fans are in their feels about the firing. And it was petty on FV’s part. What I do not get is the outcry about them not pairing her with Jason being the fault of the show, and how that would have saved her.

She chose to tank the triangle story and reunion between Sam and Jason the last time he returned. Publicly. Because she wanted to be paired with her real life boyfriend only. So blame the show for firing her, and firing Billy, which was shitty and petty. But not what happened to JaSam. Look at her photos in the Steve returns promos from January! She was still visibly against being paired with Jason. And I am totally fine with that! But don’t blame the show for that one fans.

It is my understanding that Billy Miller left GH of his own accord & that he was not in fact, fired. I've only learned of this recently. Before I was of the impression that they had fired him. Which it is, I suppose, is something that could be found out.

Doing a quick run through Google Search I can find no statement of his being fired. Instead his mgr said he last filmed in July 2019. Then Google goes on with several suppositions, like maybe contract negotiations were not going well & since Steve Burton was back maybe it had a negative impact on story for him. Etc.

The thought of enduring Round 11 of Jasam makes me want to fling myself off a cliff.

Sam has been played out for over a decade at minimum. The character should've been written out long ago. She's not entitled to another tedious round of that couple to stay employed.

I know we moved to the November thread, but I guess my question was who did KeMo want to be paired with at this point?  Obviously not Steve, she didn't seem to what to be paired with CM's Drew, they were bringing back Lulu so Sam couldn't stay with Dante forever, and, sadly, Billy Miller passed away.   I am just trying to figure out what KeMo wanted and how she thought she was going to manage to stay employed if she just vetoed everything?

Great question. The most recent information I am aware of says that she did not want the proposed triangle with Dante & Lulu but instead wanted to be repaired as JaSam. The problem is that does not seem to make sense with anything else she has said. So, basically, I have the same question you pose.

Just WooooooW!!!!

Now that had me in my feels. And regardless of other stories in the episode (Drew vs Cody, Michael having back-to-back ewww sex with Willow), I actually feel like the focus was on Sam dying and playing the start of that out beat by beat. I felt things were finally allowed to breathe IMHO. The only thing that irked me was some of the staging cuz if THE SOUP was still around, trust those overhead angles would get a shoutout.

NLG played it to the hilt. And when Alexis broke down in Liz's arms, I started crying too just hearing those sobs. That resonated. So did Alexis's denial. Alexis's anger. Her crawling in the bed with the cold Sam. Just so much to enjoy in NLG's performance.

And I can say the same about SB, too. He shows so much with his eyes. And his body language for the most part was actually relating. Bonus point for the moment when Lucas is talking to Alexis, Jason and Liz sharing a look. And then Liz walking him through what happened. Not only a good Liason moment, but if anyone would understand, it would be her giving the loves of her life that have died/'died.' And then Jason got to the hospital room and SB sold that for me. And that last scene...awww. I'm so happy that SB came with a Jason who can emote a lot better than he normally does. And speaking of couples, while I was not a big Jasam fan, I love that they got a montage, and it was beautiful. Feeling for their fans.

Cody with money? I'm down. Now what will he do with it? Though I still feel this anger at Drew...which is projected mind you...still comes across jarring.

I can't believe Michael forgave Willow. And double ewwww at him having sex with her after having sex with Sasha.

The gasp I let out when Alexis talk about Sam's death in front of Dante and Rocco.

Those awkward overhead angles are ridiculous. I thought it was funny the first time they did it & some poster asked if it was supposed to represent Violet's pov. Every other time since then I've just been so annoyed it's not even funny.

I thought it was a shame that he didn't get enough to buy Serenity.

    • The link doesn't work.  The actual link is this: https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/composer-leonard-bernstein-s-children-request-his-music-be-played-in-the-kennedy-center-in-rebuke-to-trump/ar-AA1E7gw5 That's a reprint of a FoxNews article. MSN reprints stuff from many sources. You can tell the source from the logo above the headline on the msn page. The FoxNews article is describing what Leonard Bernstein's children wrote -- as a "letter to the editor" of the New York Times. Instead of reading it filtered through FoxNews, here is the original: "Our Dad, Leonard Bernstein, Would Want His Music Played at the Kennedy Center" https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/02/opinion/kennedy-center-leonard-bernstein-protest.html Non-paywall archivedcopy of the same NYTimes letter, without commentary: https://archive.is/QaLqD
    • Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
    • What was Ruth Martin's association to the Thornton family?  I only remember the daughter that dated Tad, and she had a buxom mother.  But, did Ruth date David Thorton before Joe?

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said this on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago, so perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. In addition, Leslie did say she grew up listening to The Articulettes too.
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.
