apparently. So I think that's what's coming and I don't expect much from it knowing this show and Black characters. I think they hired GM because Frank thought he was cute and talented and then for whatever reason, maybe the writing turnover with Mulcahey out, he went nowhere onscreen. I don't blame the kid but there is nothing there with Gio at present. I do absolutely think FV will wait til Trina is gone (if he can get her to walk - he's tried and failed before with others) and think he can then put over Spencer with the white lady of his choice. It's so pathetic.

In other news: Dr. Terry continues to fail to convince me she did not simply study all these medical terms on Duolingo last night. She sounds like she is greeting at Benihana when she rattles off this stuff, or like a sniper has his sights trained at her head. And she's out here with Lucky and Laura like ‘let’s burn your dying daughter in effigy now, why wait?’ Like she wants to throw her in the KFC roaster right now!

They are obviously pinning all these medical mishaps on Carlo Rota a.k.a. Sidwell, the insomniac jewel buffoon who can't play cards, out for revenge. Another deeply threatening jack-of-all-trades villain from the crew that brought you creaky Cyrus "I Ran Over Dad in the Driveway!

" Renault, Peter August and of course Valentin. I can't wait to still be seeing more of him blustering his way through boring scenes a year from now while Frank has added Sidwell's son, daughter, ex-wife and presumably Natalia is his first wife or something. Then we'll all get to endure 50 overhyped tweets on the GH hashtag about how much 26 people with too much time on their hands are enjoying the 'Sidwell-Ramirez family.' I am so tired.

Also, I'm sorry, Van is doing a decent job but his hair looks like a rug.

As someone else said, it is absolutely wild Sam and Jason got no real farewell scene - him tagged onto her scene with Drew re: parental logistics, their standing feet apart while she and Drew embraced. I never liked Jasam but that's crazy.

Oh: And I do think they are potentially going there with Cody and Tracy, finally. But I don't trust this team to do it right at all.

I didn't know they hired someone else on for Trina.  Interesting.

Van's hair does look weirdly unnatural.

And, yes, Cassandra James does struggle with her lines a lot, but so does MB and he's the star here so whatever lol.

Rough for JaSam fans after all these years.  We may not care at all about the pairing, but some people really did.  I would be upset if I was a JaSam fan for sure.  It seems like Monaco couldn't get far enough from Steve in those scenes though.

Again I would be fine with a Cody/Tracy pairing.  I just want it to be a fling.  Not anything serious, so I am sure Tracy will catch feelings at some point.

I feel like I have burned so many times before with Tracy's romances so I would prefer casual or Cody falling for her.  I don't think this team can do right by them and I would hate for Tracy to be humiliated again since I am pretty sure there's going to be a twist to this Sasha story.

And they were.

On one hand, they have every right to be upset given how Jasam has had a fanbase and how KM was in the promo for SB's return. They were already mad that she had not gotten a scene with Spin until yesterday I believe.

What I'm not liking is people saying they are not playing Sam's farewell beats. They really have been playing them, but they are just doing it too scattered around. Whether it is the writing or just FV's bias showing I have no idea.

I actually feel sorry for the actor. They've given him nothing except "Be the understanding young person who shares pearls of wisdom."

Yeah, that's the truth. I'm all for diversity and representation, but she is not a good actor. The fact is, her weaknesses have been ignored because of who she is.

The Ashford’s & co confronting Ric didn’t disappoint. I was very surprised they allowed Portia and Curtis to state the quiet part out loud when it comes to all of this Heather nonsense. PC is the land of free roaming criminals but a killer targeting a young black woman and easily landing a get out of jail free card + likely being rewarded big lawsuit payout was an optic that shouldn’t be ignored. Brook Kerr did great with all of these scenes. I pray Curtis really does get Heather the hip out of town so the show goes 3 for 3 on eradicating annoying characters this week.

I liked seeing Molly defend her dad but felt bad for TJ. His point to Lucas that she showed more passion standing by Ric than she has helping him grieve baby Irene was valid. Noticed they leaned heavy on him not going to a bar as well

Molly’s confrontation over Ric defending Ava was fantastic too. The lines about him needing to prove the case to her and not wanting his daughter consumed with vengeance the same way he has been was good stuff.

Lol at Joss and Dex doing their usual routine of getting upset about something serious and then hunching. They really can’t come up with a new play for these two. Gio and Trina scenes were okay but there is no real chemistry there.

Sonny and Holly was kind of interesting to see together and I laughed at him telling her she wasn’t his type. They’re clearly setting it up for Sonny to be on Sidwell’s hit list

I liked the Robert and Anna scenes too I like their current dynamic a lot and how protective she is of him from Holly’s shenanigans.

I kind of do too.  MB can do whatever he wants with his hair.  It's not my decision.  Blaming it on the show is a bit weird though.

Ingo could practically put Vanessa in his pocket he was so much bigger than her and no one complained.  Jason Thompson is much taller than KMc and no one said anything.  I get Chavez is a really tall guy, but I didn't find it aesthetically displeasing or noticeable.  They made a very attractive couple.

It sucks for their fans for sure.  And I don't have a horse in the Liason vs. JaSam race because I find couples acceptable.  There was a period of time where these fans dominated the internet and it's a bit sad it ended like this for them.  I also don't miss those wars and think both couples have been irrelevant for years.  It would have been nice for Jason/Sam to have a more heartfelt goodbye though.  It's pretty obvious that Kelly is OVER IT right now and phoning in more than usual.

    • I 100% agree but I think this is due to how the show is structured. It's a one family show which means there are no people in her age range that could be used as friends or contemporaries of her. The show definitely needs a second main family. I am glad someone finally said this. Especially now that the cast is gelling in their roles, he stands out like a sore thumb. No energy, no chemistry with anybody. He is just there.  I thought that was odd as well! The previous scene would've worked better as a tag for the credits.
    • That's the one and only Carrie Nye (Mrs. Dick Cavett) as Susan Piper, a deadly realtor. I don't want to spoil a lot if you ever want to see those episodes. She returns as another character in 2003. I think Grant has aged well and he always did a good job at being ripped without going too far, but he was never entirely my cup of tea either. I did think John Bolger was hot.
    • Totally agree. KKL looks great! It makes the Widge groveling so bizarre. Brooke needs to leave FC and with $B's/Liam's funding launch a rival fashion house with Hope, Rick, Katie and a secret designer. The best scenario is that Rick has been absent because he's been with very much alive C2, who is revealed on the runway as the secret designer. It'll never happen because B&B is comfortable just focusing on FC and the Forresters Marones v. Logans. But it'd been so much more interesting if the Spencers/Logans united.

    • Haha that scarf thing did go on a bit too long, very odd. And what a young Rick!  I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I just never got the physical appeal of Grant Aleksander, but he's definitely a great actor. Who is the older lady around the 8:30 mark, and also ends the episode, alone and in pain? She seems like a really interesting character. I love the smoky voice and sultry, snaky vibe she seems to have.
    • I can't remember exactly but I think she lives in or is part of the cottage story with Carrie. Carrie poisons her in this episode.  I forgot Teresa was on the show. (I see that AI is insisting she wasn't - well they're wrong) Poor Maeve. I can how even she had her limits.
    • It pisses me off that the other Duprees are making this incident all about them as well. They are playing a family of victims, acting as if Ted cheated on all of them. They should be supportive, but not like this. I have a family that makes anything that happens to me personally all about them, and seeing the same thing on TV is rage-inducing.
    • There are the makings of good Emmy reels in these past couple of episodes, but the industry is still going to favor even the most mediocre stories and performances on the older soaps. And with the pressure from the government over race I can see the academy shutting out Beyond The Gates to avoid criticism from the administration and the far right media.
    • oh, definitely! It's too bad she hit the start of a rough transition period for the show. She shines, but she's stuck with bad story and some (if not exactly bad) not great co-stars.  Uh, who did Maureen O'Sullivan play? (Sigh--and only if I'd understood exactly who and how wonderful Teresa Wright was in '86) God, the summer of '84 was literally one event after another. Kim's outfit alone must've been worth a small fortune. And poor Maeve. She looks so uncomfortable. Rebecca Hollen told a story on Locher Room where Maeve dropped the f-bomb during the shooting of it. For some reason, she wasn't being listened to, and had just had enough. As a producer, I would've been holding my breath as my pregnant actress kept walking around strange and undoubtably uneven sets in that long skirt.
