Ugh. Let fans have their clips if some of what they want isn't even available.

Jesus!!

Yes, UGH ... definitely applies! IMO, copyright law, at least in the US, is a big problem, or maybe one kind of big problem for fans & fandom & another kind of big problem for the corporations who live & die by the standards & laws that govern their actions.

When they went to court over the first VCRs they knew this problem was going to manifest.

When Paramount sent cease & desist letters to every sci-forum on every message board, or similar, all over the young, burgeoning world wide web, forbidding basically any image that looked like any "spaceship" ... OY!!

Yeah, this really, really sucks. I was watching some old classic Days clips on Twitter/X that I haven't really seen before and they were mainly Lee Dumonde scenes, which are extremely rare and hard to come by. I really wish that I got a chance to download the clips and save them onto my computer before they got copyright struck by Sony. I don't know if I'm ever going to find those particular scenes anywhere on the web ever again.

I have some Brenda Benet & we can get together in private msg & I will help you out. A promo with her in it. The huge fight she & Bill Hayes had on the occasion of Doug & Julie wedding #2, Something more but at the moment, It is not in my brain. Don't worry cause it's on my computer .

I have just seen a cease and desist letter posted by someone who previously posted Classic DAYS clips & this is not from x.com nor is it from the third party people previously referenced. This is from Sony. This is something of a change. This poster is a Steve & Kayla fan account.

Is this clampdown just about soaps or any Sony related series?

Unknown, actually. Learning more each day. So far, though, it is only about DAYS, not even also about Y&R. That is why there is some speculation that it relates to the upcoming 60th anniversary of the show.

- Mickey Horton's plane crash storyline (1983-1984): This was indeed a major plot point. Mickey Horton, played by John Clarke, was presumed dead after a plane crash. This led to:

A funeral for Mickey, The beginning of an affair between Don Craig and Maggie,

Mickey's eventual return, revealed to have been suffering from amnesia.

- Stefano DiMera's introduction: Stefano was first introduced to the show in 1982. He quickly became one of the most iconic villains in soap opera history.

These storylines are from a period that's considered a golden age for Days of Our Lives, with high drama and memorable character arcs.

- Addie Horton's death (1974): Addie Horton, played by Patricia Barry, met a tragic end in a storyline that was quite memorable for its time.

- Laura Horton's mental breakdown: This storyline, featuring Susan Flannery as Laura Horton, was a significant arc in the show's history.

some of these older episodes can be quite hard to find.

I have a 1982 DAYS promo that is visually Stefano & Lee DuMonde (Brenda Benet). The odd thing about it is that it is NOT Joe's voice!!! No idea who the male voice is. ... Hmm, unless what if it is Joe Mascolo but before he settled on the Eurotrash accent? I don't know now that I think about that.

Mickey was not suffering from amnesia when presumed dead. He was being held captive by Stefano. The contrived Don/Maggie story was an outcome of this and was not convincing for a minute.

Laura's breakdown was played by Rosemary Forsyth not Susan Flannery.

You would think Sony would see how popular  having Bold and the Beautiful episodes available to stream on YouTube, that they'd do the same with DAYS(yes I know Bell owns BOLD)

But, you are right to point it out. THE EXAMPLE is clearly there to be seen.

Though not my first choice, I would want to see this too. The entire story of Doug ending up with her, the cancer, and the tragic end. Maybe Susan on trial as well.

Wasn't that the Watergate hearings, so first she was pregnant with Hope for 19 months?

Another possibility, when Susan thought she was raped but then decided it had been consensual?

The whole thing is just a pain in the ass! They won't provide it themselves but, don't want anyone else to! These are the kind of things that lead to a divorce!

A couple of years ago, someone on YouTube posted the entirety of the Franco Kelly storyline, concluding with Sami on death row, and then into the Princess Gina years...I watched every episode and was hooked. It's shocking just how good even that era of DAYS was.

The only explanation I have is Sony/Corday have some long term plan because it otherwise makes no sense. B&B's reruns on YouTube are fantastic and certainly don't hurt the current show.
