Sarah sending Brady up the river and being so content about Xander plotting to kill him was weird too. It could have been written a little better.

Huh? That makes no sense considering what we saw earlier in the week.

The Body & Soul scenes should be edited out from every episode till it ends.

Spanish soaps do It every time a story isn't working.

They need to cut and re edit episodes without Body & Soul.

I was going to just come here and post the same.  I don't really mind Howard, but I keep thinking how JMM would play scenes and that's not a great sign for a recast.  JMM would have done them with so much more emotion and hurt.  Unfortunately, I also think they need to cast someone who looks younger than Howard as well.

Leo Howard, as I've stated prior, reminds me of Guy Wilson and therefore feels like a Will Horton recast instead of a Tate Black one.

I can actually see that.  He does remind me a little bit of Guy Wilson lol.  Howard is an okay actor, but he doesn't seem like Theresa/Brady's son in looks or personality.

He doesn't read the age group they're keeping Tate in. Maybe if they had aged him overall I'd buy it more. But... yeah, this was a misfire recast. Should've just made him Will Horton, and kept Tate off-canvas until a suitable recast was found.

I'm neither a structural engineer nor an explosives expert, but when the foundation of a home gets bombed, doesn't that require major repairs?

I heard Johnny say that the only damage was EJ vintage wines.  However, the whole house is built on top of a series of hidden tunnels.  So, if they blow up, isn't the mansion unstable?

And isn't there any danger from Dr. Rolf's lab filled with toxins down there?

It just seems like they've moved on from the bomb rather quickly with no long term consequences.   And there's a lot of story opportunity in displaced Dimeras.

It's not only that he looks too old because that wouldn't necessarily be a deal breaker for me.  It's that Howard has this air of maturity like he's too wise for this nonsense even when he's doing idiotic teenage things.  I can't really explain it well, but it's like LH plays Tate without getting upset with high-strung emotions because he knows this is all stupid lol.

So, you should be correct about everything.  When the secret room was introduced in 1997 it was behind the actual wine cellar.  I get the impression now you have to follow quite a few hallways/tunnels to get there and perhaps if just a secret room and a single tunnel blew up it wouldn't necessarily affect the main house?  I am very unclear if any of those "secret" structures are actually attached to the foundation of the mansion.  Basically I am wondering if these new secret rooms are supposed to be the original secret room and I don't think so.  Because after 1997 the OG Secret Room wasn't so secret so I think Stefano et al added on to make new ones lol.

I agree; he's too smart for the role. He knows what he's being asked to play, script-wise, and that's what isn't clicking.

Idk about Leo Howard as Will. He might be too young lol

If anything

Spoiler

With Philip returning, part of his storyline could be that he finally found his son Tyler and that’s who LH could play. Since Tyler’s a blank slate, him being so laidback and carefree could be part of his character, which definitely does not work for Tate. Plus it could give Bonnie something better to do, then his Body&Soul crap

For Tate, they really should’ve recast with someone who was born in the 2000s.

One of the reasons why I thought today was a Jamey episode 😂

To stop Xander from killing Brady, she called Jada and told her that she remembered Brady running her over.

It seemed very strange and out of character to me

Crews Morrow auditioned. Not sure about his range.

Chandler Massey: 34
Guy Wilson: 38
Leo Howard: 27

He's definitely younger than both Massey & Wilson, but looks-wise he would fit the role and I could see him playing a 30-something more effectively than a high schooler.

I get what you're saying, and I think part of the issue is that they are not writing to the actor's strengths in that domain.  Tate should be too smart for these girl's games.  He was a good student in a good school.  He's dealt with a lot of family trauma which would have matured him.  And he grew up with Theresa and Kim, who would have taught him everything he needed to know about manipulative women.

Much like the character of Hope changed over time once Kristen Alfonso took over the role, I wish the same for Leo Howard (wonder if he dropped his last name and is using his middle name to substitute for his surname?)

Also, way too silly today with the Peacock/Ted references.

And it doesn't make sense that Peacock is a streaming service in their universe.  But, it doesn't broadcast either DAYS or Body&Soul.

I don't think Leo Howard could plausibly play Will, who's supposed to be around 35 and has a daughter who's at least 10, but he could probably be JJ or Joey.

He should've been a Joey recast.

I don't see Leo Howard as a Will recast.
