I could see Eric doing it for free.  Abe is his father's best friend.  Marlena is friends with Kate.  He's related to both Johnny and Stephanie who are heavily involved.  It seem like one night's work-not a huge deal.  Also, Nicole is very close to Abe and would probably encourage him to help.

The rest of the show was nonsense though.  I really have no other comment.  Everything for Alex/Chanel to Bonnie vs. Hattie is just stupid.

With body and soul stuff I feel the only reason Ron wanted this was to cause problems in johnny and chanel marriage and it is obvious being setup for one of them to cheat I think it will be johnny instead of chanel who cheats

Of course, he would do it for free.  The question is should he do it for free? Given that he's a got a baby to support in Paris.

I am also amused that Eric was running around desperately searching for Holly at school, but now that it is clearly evening, he's no longer looking for her.  And, Johnny's worried about Chanel in love scenes with Alex, but Justin is cool with it when it comes to Bonnie.

From my understanding Eric has a decent job in Paris.  But, yes, Eric would pretty much do everything for free lol.  Nicole could also get a job to help, just saying...  I think he gave up on Holly for the day because pretty much everyone told him to back off for a bit.

Well, Justin is a mature adult so he can handle the acting part of the love scenes.  He should be more worried about his wife's silly antics with Hattie.   Johnny's an overgrown teen with his first job at about 28.  It's also a bit more concerning because Chanel has actually slept with Alex.

Do you think we are meant to believe there are other actors on the show?  Or is just Chanel, Alex, Bonnie, and Hattie? And Alex is the only male cast member (some would say that is the writer's dream cast).

Have they forgotten about the dude that played Abe's son?

Which means that at some point, we’re probably gonna be getting a full episode of Body&Soul because Ron can’t help himself

And because we’re stuck with Jamey Giddens, it’ll probably make the Fraternity Row episode of OLTL look like Shakespeare.

Like every episode that comes after a Jamey episode, today was an improvement. And Tate looked hot in his first scene

I like the way everything with Tate/Holly is coming together. Holly being so determined to see Brady go down for Sarah’s accident stems from her anger about Eric killing Daniel and I like that. It seems so natural. Her teaming up with EJ could actually be really good as well. And I also like how Sophia’s manipulating the situation. That’s exactly what I would have done, if I was writing it. But I agree we still need to know more about Sophia, that way her actions make more sense. Tate finding out about Holly joining forces with EJ would be the perfect catalyst for him to turn to Sophia. Hopefully, Holly has a good excuse tomorrow and it’s not immediately exposed.

Mean Sarah was back today lol but her being mean made a lot of sense considering what she’s going through. I like the conflict that brewing between her and Xander as a result of this. Too bad that Sarah might be figuring it out already. This is another storyline that should be played out a little more. Maybe if Alex was still involved in this storyline, he could be the one to reveal everything. But whatevs lol

Eric vs EJ was good too, though I’m not sure why Eric didn’t just slam EJ’s head into the table lol hopefully we’ll get a good brawl between the two of them soon.

  1. I really liked Eric's bag, and if anyone knows who makes it, drop a link.
  2. I like spunky Sarah, but I wish her mission was more rational.  I don't know why she is ready to forgive Brady.  I would prefer if her issue with Xander was that she wanted to be a part of his plans, as an equal, rather than him keeping secrets.  The idea of the central conflict in this relationship is Xander learning to trust Sarah is intriguing, but unexplored.
  3. It's kind of funny that they hardly ever show Sarah moving around in her chair.  She just shows up places, or someone pushes her into a scene. She never moves on her own.  And, why doesn't she have a motorized chair?  They can afford it.
    1. The fact they aren't making any plans for how Sarah will live in the future only confirms how temporary this situation seems to be.

    • When you bring up what I like to call "Shapiro's Folly" you think Dano's acting choices mattered? I ask because I don't think so. As far as I could tell almost universally the ABC fans hated the very idea of her being on all 4 shows! And, I agreed. If she wanted success she should have planted "Rae" on one & given up her idea of branding, or whatever it was that she was after.
    • Okay, well her reasons were that she had a mandate to reduce the size of the cast & she had another mandate to make the cast overall younger, so her reason for picking Donna to off was because she was too old.  So, is that what you understand? Or are you thinking of something else? Which if so, I would be delighted to hear about it!  She had arbitrarily picked 50 as the age people needed to be younger than.  And, that is why she got rid of both Bridget & Spencer Harrison.  And, getting rid of Bridget was another of her horrible ideas.  Why do you refer to her as the Face of the Show? Don't feel bad. I am a major Cass fan & I don't remember him with Donna either, LOL! Can we say forgettable? And, yes, Lila was the most last minute of last minutes!!!!
    • This is AWESOME, thank you for taking the time to post this! My first thought: My memory is a lot better than I thought it was, LOL! The first episode I clearly remember watching had a scene of Ed confronting Holly about Christina's paternity. He lamented how wonderful things had been over Christmas, so looks like I started watching the show early 1976. The only thing puzzling me is where is Evie? I thought she was around BEFORE Rita got involved with Tim, but maybe that's one gap in my memory. It makes Rita look slightly better--in that case, she didn't seduce Tim knowing her sister had a crush on him.
    • Oh, well.  At least he can cry into his hoodie.
    • Sorry, just realized I'd somehow lost a whole paragraph in that last post.
    • Thanks @Paul Raven  They should have brought Billy back in the early '90s for more drama with Hart and Blake. Maybe Blake would have gotten involved with him to try to ruin him in Roger's eyes, but realize under his sweet nature, Billy was a player himself.

    • Watching the cult of Fetterman collapse is one of the few political bright spots for me. The best part  is watching all the people who built him up now decide they want to tear him down. I'll be fascinated to see how this ends for him. https://buckscountybeacon.com/2025/05/pennsylvanias-democratic-senator-john-fetterman-raises-alarms-with-outburst-at-meeting-with-union-officials/

    • Long ago, this Rachel fan channel uploaded a number of clips of Rachel with Felicia during the alcoholism story, and this one in particular stands out for me.

And then you have this scene, which is the dark mirror of the above, especially the final moment: Felicia started out as camp bitch on a very dreary show (with Cecile being the only somewhat fun character around that point) and then got into a lot of comedy. Some of the comedy was very stupid, but many viewers still felt drawn to it, to Lily, Cecile, Cass, Felicia, Kathleen, Wallingford. There was a vibrancy which Dano fit well in, her fashions and melodrama parodied in a gentle way. This was missing in some of the long-suffering parts she'd had had on shows like ATWT. By the late '80s, especially after Wallingford's death, those times were gone, and Donna Swajeski added further misery to Felicia with the Gold Street backstory. Luckily, after a bit of time the show found a good framing for this new twist on Felicia. The stories with finding and losing a love from her past, learning that a woman she hated was the daughter she'd spent years searching for, sinking into alcoholism, they all fit into the type of material suited for the '40s and '50s screen goddesses.  When Dano tried some of this old weepy type of material when she went back to ABC, it mostly fell flat, as the atmosphere wasn't the same and her character always felt shoehorned in. It worked perfectly at this period on AW because you had Iris, you had Rachel, you had Donna - you had a number of tough-but-vulnerable women of a certain age, most of them grandmothers by this point, but still trying to find love, find themselves. This is what AW could have had earlier if they hadn't dumped Pat and Alice, but better late than never. This is an approach you saw more often on British soaps than on US soaps, which for a number of years respected women in that age group. Both UK and US soaps have done away with this, both countries having the ladies devolve into perpetual ingenues (with added doses of endlessly self-aware camp in the UK) or just being shipped off entirely.  You could even see that on AW with the treatment of Iris (shipped off, never to be mentioned again, too old to return), Donna (repeatedly humiliated and crippled), Felicia (regressed into degrading herself with married John), Rachel (mother to newborn twins, put into lengthy periods of trauma through her new relationship with Carl).
