Playing devil's advocate here: Is Stephanie Cameron still in the industry?  She's no Meryl Streep, but she's a familiar face in the role...

And who amongst us hasn't secretly held out hope they'd finally bring back Peter Blake to the fold?

Who is Stephanie Cameron dating? Stephanie Cameron boyfriend, husband

I liked Cady McClain as Dixie and I know she's a daytime veteran, but her Jennifer is so frazzled and erratic. It's not cute.

Eh, I agree with @carolineg - either work around Melissa Reeves or just hire Cady permanently. I do think Jennifer is Melissa Reeves because of the amount of time she's put into the character, but I find that Cady tends to do better in long runs. It's these disjointed runs where she has to literally jump right into high stakes emotional situations that it becomes bizarre.

It was the same thing when she first got on the show - the first scenes she had was to react to Hope leaving and it just came off... wrong. But she improved in that run, I just don't think she handles these in-and-out visits well and needs time to settle in the character.

I liked Stephanie Cameron.  She wasn't amazing, but she looked the part and was okay at the end of the day.  I empathize the show was put in such an impossible position and SC was like someone in production's girlfriend lol and was hired in a matter of days.  Considering that I actually think she did well.  You saw Steve Wilder as Jack, right?  Lol.

Peter needs to be back-agreed.  The show decides to create a bunch of rando Dimera's when you have one right in front of you.

This.  If you are using Jen for 1 day just work around Missy.  The show shoots 10 years in advance so it's not like the schedule can't be a bit flexible lol.

If the show has investment in Jennifer as a full time character use Cady.  Let her make the role her own.  Going back and forth with these actresses is a waste of time.

3/10

Maybe Sarah will be in a wheelchair for a while and Brady (or someone innocent with a gray car, since they've mentioned Ava also has a gray car) will get arrested.  But, this whole tale feels so temporary and we know the outcome.  Fiona can't stop confessing her secrets out loud, so someone will overhear.  And Sarah's going to magically walk by the force of either Victoria's love or maybe that angel will re-appear.  There are zero stakes involved in terms of long term story.  I mean, does anyone still recall that Maggie has Myasthenia Gravis?

Alex's pivot to acting also makes zero sense.  We saw that he was talented at sales, after an initial stumble, so why wouldn't Brady hire him?  Meanwhile, with Xander at the hospital, who is running Titan?

And how have Chanel and Alex harbored these feelings about each other for a year and never discussed it?  I know they've been in the same room.  They may have even gone to other weddings (who can remember?).  But, there was zero ground laid for their current conflict.

I never cared for Stephanie, not at all. I liked Mark Valley as Jack.

I remember one of the many times the DiMeras held a vote to see who would head up the company. Peter was on the ythe phone, the entire time.

I honestly do not want Missy back. I still cannot believe that on Twi/X the former writer whose name is not uttered here, blocked me for truthful comments about Missy. I didn't even start it. I was just replying in kind..

Not cute at all, and definitely frazzled and erratic.

I stick to what I said after that shreiking, hyena-like performance: Cady McClain was AWFUL. Yes, I despise Melissa Reeves as much as anyone here, but she would not have played those lines that way.

CM constantly performs on this show as if she's on a Broadway stage, playing to the rafters. It's not Jennifer and it's not good acting. She ruined those scenes. I did not recognize Jennifer at all in those scenes.

I'd rather see Reeves back for these very limited appearances. I'll complain about what a horrible person she is, but I'll at least be complaining about her and not Jennifer.

Yes, they have named checked Peter more often in the last several years.

Mark Valley was good.  He wasn't Jack.  What a strange casting for Jack-even though I did think he made it work.  It was just an entirely different take on Jack.

Here's the thing.  Everyone pretty much dislikes Missy here.  I don't have a problem with that.  I don't like Missy.  The show doesn't seem to care about her views or issues.  They have taken her back after literally suing her lol.   It doesn't take away the fact she is the best Jen.

I agree.  I actually don't think CM is always bad as Jennifer.  There are just times when I don't think she gets the character at all?  Never watched videos of MR as Jen?

I am not saying Days should roll out the red carpet for Missy and fly her in on the regular, but if we are only using Jen a handful of times a year just figure it out with her.

Casting preferences aside, I miss the opportunity to have Jack & Jennifer involved in the Abby story.  Not because of sentimentality regarding their family, but I sincerely liked when Jack & Jennifer worked together to solve a mystery.   Bo & Hope always had that dynamic where he was trying to keep her safe, and wouldn't share information, but Jack & Jen relied upon each other's strengths.  Maybe it was because Jack was always a bit prone to messiness, or Jen was actually more practically intelligent, but they were good partners.  And I think they could crack this case better than most.

Also, gotta luv Johnny's progressive approach to Chanel working on the soap, “hey, we could make out on set all day.” Not the best look for a production that is fighting harassment allegations behind the scenes.

    • That was the original point of me sending you her 6 airdates, so now with those, and the link to the daily episode guide I've provided, that should help you more easily find the additional Ruth Buzzi scenes. I will always repeat myself when it comes to defending my data that I've taken decades to research and compile. But, as you pointed out in a recent post, I am kind, so at least I will do it with you in a kind way as opposed to the usual social media way most people do with just getting rude/nasty. That's not my style, as you correctly pointed out earlier this week, and never will be.  So, all is well!

    • Ambyr Michelle continues to be *that girl.* She’s just a star, period. Elevates every scene she’s in on the sheer strength of her emotional realism and charisma. Can sell any dialogue. I wish the show veered away from the B&B-style scripting. TMG/Leslie’s tirade stood out, I suppose, but she’s getting a bit mustache-twirly. And I wish DD had more to do in that episode than stand and sob.
    • Well, that was down to CBS being weak and not being willing to just pulling the plug entirely. They didn't want to commit to cancelling the show in case they needed it for their schedule basically; plus they kept showing that they were willing to make cuts if needed to be.
    • I'm sorry but clearly what I've said is not satisfactory to you. I have now read what you have to say, twice. As it happens, my interest at this point is looking at other mislabeled files to find this other Ruth Buzzi content. I do not see any point to each of us repeating ourselves, so I will leave it here.
    • It seemed to be your intent. coming into a thread I started and making multiple posts saying my data was wrong. In the next paragraph you say "Of course, I was suspicious from the very first instance where what I saw & heard did not agree with what it should have.  I'm very glad to know why." That certainly didn't stop you from immediately saying the data was wrong, until I provided additional receipts. Why did you not check the daily episode guide (for instance, this one for the 1980's) I posted for the world to see for exactly this reason...to help confirm airdates: http://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1980-1989-t15361.html? That is what you should be checking BEFORE you make any posts in the future like this, trying to suggest something from my data is incorrect. You could have also messaged me and asked me why your dates weren't adding up with what the correct data is. I would have fast forwarded through that video you posted, spotted Roman and Hope and immediately have told you that was the 11/1/83 episode.
    • Jason, just let me say that it was not my intent to any way impugn any of your data  or research. I'm very sorry if it came out that way. Obviously the person I got these 4 November episodes from has mislabeled files, multiples, which I was certainly unaware of.  When I am editing it is all about what I see & hear. Later, I find time for greater reflection.  Of course, I was suspicious from the very first instance where what I saw & heard did not agree with what it should have.  I'm very glad to know why.  If you find you are no longer interested in the edit, that is fine. I have no ego in this. I did it only to share it.
    • I feel like Vernon and Anita need to not be hypocrites and try and take the heat off Bill in this case. It's clear that the family used him as a fixer and especially knowing he helped with Martin's situation, they need to either be quiet or support him. BTW...with Vanessa being in the hospital for food poisoning, am I the only one who thought Shanice was gonna say she's pregnant or had an STD? The only reason I say STD is because she hasn't had any memorable sex partners, but I definitely don't believe she just had food poisoning.
    • Yeah, I mean I know that the name still pertains. I just laugh at it not now being called Arizona Dust, but, I admit it simply does not have the same ring to it. Above, that is interesting that Arizona had already come up before the crisis.
    • Anita vs. Leslie, bring it!
    • Leslie and her family are from Chicago? Anita's background also includes being a former Chi-Town native? Might they connect this and go somewhere with it?
