Jesus GH has been a nightmare trying to tie in one ill conceived character after another in Frank’s time. It’s so lazy. Just off the top of my head, in one convoluted story after another- Nina, Nathan, Britt, Liesl, Drew, Willow, Nelle, Ava, Valentin, Esme, Austin and before him retcon-central Franco…even Laura’s brothers had the added nonsense of explaining why one talks like Foghorn Leghorn.

These posts trying to explain Nina are a prime example of the nonsense playing out right now with Natalia. It’s about keeping the actor, not the character

I liked Kraze but they are over. I also like Sasha and Cody but the show is really slow to advance them. Is the show keeping Sasha or is she the next person to get a sudden exit?

I don't like the Deception storyline and think they should just get rid of that company.

Count me as the one person who likes Natalia and Sonny as a couple. Natalia will have sex with Sonny before she leaves the show.

GH May climb back up to 2 million Nielsen viewers a week. But the frustration is that I believe there is more audience, and a few key movements away from his clearly losing strategy would get the show there.

And with FV and these writers I don’t  think they can go beyond that core base of steady Nielsen viewers. That’s why the nonsense with constant rewrites and propping and keeping Eva is a problem for me.

The show hasn't introduced one successful new character since the current regime took over in 2012. Their new characters all have had convulted, unconvincing backstories, and they all do stupid things that sabotage them from the go. In bringing back old characters, they look to the 90s or 00s. There's nothing to bring back from the 10s; no one anyone would want to see come back. It's just a testament to how creatively bankrupt the show has been for a decade and more.

It’s a testament to the fact Frank Valentini is only interested in gimmicks and not producing a show with any hint of integrity or sensibility. The FV era of GH is long overdue for a conclusion, but apparently, the show might be cancelled before that ever happens.

Woof. That info doesn’t bode well for me considering this material these last couple of episodes has been mostly boredom inducing mid.

Missing kid plots where everyone spilts up and screams the child’s name 100 times are just so tired and we just had a big water stunt, did we really need another so soon? I get they wanted an easy way to set Cody up as a hero and have Mac forgive him but come on. In the year 2024 no kid is running around without a device that can easily be tracked and no way Spinelli the FBI hacker doesn’t have those children on surveillance.

All that said, James overhearing Willow and Nina discuss the forbidden kiss and attraction for Drew was hilarious and I liked Willow’s explanation of being bored of and lacking trust with Michael. Still hoping Mikey goes full Alan Jr when this story gets ramped up.

Deception scenes were a snoozefest but I like that Lucy is played with a bit more dignity again instead of a complete joke like she has the last few months. I liked Tracy wanting no parts of Sonny’s involvement too.

Now Ava, Scotty and Jagger were the best part of the show for me, I enjoy this gruesome threesome. Ava’s totally about to run the bus over Jagger but I’m glad because he’s definitely stacking the deck against her hiding the pharma doc at Wyndemere. I’m happy he sparked the idea of using the images to show Kristina was the aggressor in the hotel incident though, and she absolutely was.

    • Same here.  Anyone who voluntarily left Margo's penthouse set (except to go overseas or to Heaven) was immediately on my blacklist.  lol.

    • The penthouse was my favorite set... and it changed hands from Margo to Draper/April to Miles/Nicole then to just Miles... before he opted to give that beautiful place for that drab house with the even more drab Beth.  That was a jump the shark moment for me LOL
    • The storyline April and Draper are involved in during the summer/autumn of 1979 seems fairly "benign" but soon turns very serious.  April has a VERY intrusive, wealthy mother (Margo Huntington Dorn).  Margo knows that April and Draper (who've recently had a miscarriage and are theoretically never going to be able to conceive another baby) want to buy a house.  Margo hoodwinks them into buying a house they can't afford.  The house is listed at $100,000 (about $400,000 in today's dollars).  Margo pays the first $35,000 and leads Draper to believe the asking price of the house is $65,000 instead of $100,000.  If Draper finds out his meddling mother-in-law paid 1/3 of the cost of the home and tricked him, he'll be mad as hell.   Meanwhile, Draper has received a job offer from a prestigious New York law firm.  Margo pulls some strings and has the senior partner in the firm rescind the offer, to keep April in Monticello.  If Draper finds out about THAT, he'll be even angrier with Margo than he will be about the house trickery.  All of that is "bubbling under the surface" in the fall of 1979 but will be the next major story, as everything begins to spiral out of control.   Yep, you've got the Karrs and their very basic middle-class house, the Victorian-themed place where Miles and Nicole live, April and Draper's old craftsman house with the exposed beams, the Madisons & their Mission revival house, and Margo with her 1970s-chic penthouse.  Each of the sets is completely different.  And their budget was like zero, lol.
    • It felt weird and out of place.  I get. While I agree with those on here that he's gotten better, it's still really bad. I'm not seeing the "good" acting some see...but I'll give him a B for being better than when he first started. There's potential. I'll leave it at that.
    • It's like watching paint dry at a slow-ass pace. It's bad acting. Entirely. Excellent? With Claybon? Never. Ever.

    • Ah! Good to hear. Isn't it especially odd to think that house fictionally exists not far from the Karrs?  Or, that it was designed non-fictionally by the same person who designed April's place?
    • Good to know I'm not the only one who noticed that. Strange and awkward, and I don't know what they're doing with those fades.   -- Finally, had to laugh at how many Emmys this board passed out today.
