-- Kind of stunned that GH didn't milk the "Will the baby survive?" story for at least a few days. It happened so fast that it just felt...weird.

-- And SPARE ME the Sonny Might Jump stuff. Seriously? I don't think that works, even with Sonny's medication troubles.

-- The writing for Natalia and Blaze continues to be abysmal. Natalia tells Blaze to leave the hospital (and Kristina) withe her and she LISTENS? Then we get more word salad from Natalia again trying to explain her homophobia.

-- Star performer of the day was Kristen Vaganos as Molly. No one else even close.

Many thanks for the additional GH history. Probably the earliest I would have seen Ingo was 2013, and from then--through his several exits and returns--until he was let go in 2021, I think I heard brief snippets of an Australian maybe twice. I think we all hear accents a little differently, so I'm not surprised. As for the accents of all the current and past "Brooklynites" on GH, go fig-yah.

Kristen V and Kate Mansi were great today. I was kind of surprised they ended up killing the baby but it gave us some good emotional scenes. Poor Molly and TJ man. Loved Molly going off on Sonny and how they used the flashbacks of everybody turning on him to get him on the GH roof ready to end it all. Hopefully tomorrow is a good performance from MB.

I thought Natalia and Blaze’s scenes were good but I don’t think the audience will be willing to give Natalia another chance no matter how much the writers try to explain her changing viewpoint

I don’t understand why Ava lied and moved the evidence, it just put her in a worse position. I like the idea of Trina being in this dilemma of loyalty but all of her gossiping with Joss kind of lessened my belief in the strength of that relationship.

I think there is a lot of places to go with grief, regret, sadness, etc. etc.  The story could have been easily played with TJ/Molly/Kristina all being on the same page with the baby though.

I was dreading a custody story and it would have been difficult for Kristina to be rootable if she decided to go that route with her own sister.

I just don't know why we had to hear about the possibility Kristina might decide to keep the baby for months.

Probably.  I doubt Mansi cares much about the ending.  It still gives her a lot of material to play.

When first hired, Kate Mansi definitely said the endometriosis storyline interested her because she has that condition herself and wants to raise awareness.  She didn't comment on the surrogacy storyline, as it hadn't been revealed when she was first hired (even though many viewers guessed Kristina would become the surrogate).

In my opinion, there were/are other ways Molly's endometriosis could have been in storylines without a pregnancy story.   There could have been mentions about her pain and symptoms, (but of course I realize that's not as soapy as surrogacy by sister).

Lily Brooks O'Briant (teen actress who plays Lucy Romalotti on Y&R) has endometriosis in real life and talks about it on her instagram, and had a surgical procedure.  I learned a lot from reading her ig, and wasn't bored from her stories and videos.  I found it more interesting than anything in the GH fictional storyline.

Yeah, I agree that Kristina's rootability played a big factor here. There was real danger in turning the audience against her. Looks like TJ might be the new bad guy in this story, but I don't think GH cares as much about him as Kristina.

We both know why we heard about Kristina possibly keeping the baby for months: GH changed the storyline. One fall through a window OSHA would never approve and the 180 change was made.

    • Okay, I hear ya. But, you know Josh Griffith on one Thursday night fired 7 or 8 writers in one fell swoop! That totally blew my mind. But, I still think this is bunk. And, no, the show is not that bad! Literally, my only problem with it, as a fan, is that I think it could be great & it's just not. It's good, not great. They still are not on top of pacing. They routinely take too long to tell stories. But, one example, the scenes this week with Lulu & Laura were like old time soap come home!
    • Ok nevermind, Wolf is in Marian's getup on the Jan 9th episode. Lucy wakes up at the lighthouse and it's now Marian, drinking tea, and sounding like an old British woman a la Mrs. Doubtfire

Wolf is actually doing a good job as Brett, but I don't think they made him look like a believable Marian - its too clown/drag, but also creepier - and Wolf has a large nose they couldn't hide. I guess at this point, it didn't matter since she was unhinged and revealing him/herself anyway.
    • This is the *new* Rachel Black who just started airing on DAYS 4/25/2025, but of course with the ginormous tape-to-airdate gap on DAYS, she'll be airing on DAYS for months to come. And yet now she'll be new ex-Rachel. LOL.
    • As someone who cut ties with the show a little while after Chris Van Etten came back, I can’t talk on what the show is like now… is the show that bad? But even as a rumour, that’s pretty wild and radical. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of that before.
    • Yes, I know JK is getting on in years, but perhaps he and his family (wife and/or son) could work with him as co-headwriters on the new TEON! I would also be available as a story consultant!

    • It's too bad they didn't see it through. Alan and Van could have married for all the wrong reasons and ended up caring for each other, with Ross in the wings and possibly Rita, too, to cause trouble. Rita was a LITTLE BIT of a schemer. She was kind of the Nola of her era, without the goofy personality. She deliberately went after Ed because she thought he would give her the lifestyle she wanted. She could do malicious things, i.e. cooly seduce Evie's crush (who was played by Jordan Clark, btw) and string him along until she was sure she had Ed. While Rita claimed to be deeply in love with Alan at the time she departed, part of the attraction for her was his money and power. As well as sharing aspects of Nola's character, she was also a more subtle version of Reva-she grew up poor and always wanted more than she had.
    • I'm not that surprised, in just the little we've seen of her she's been a complete natural. Even better than a handful of the adults.
    • Moving on to bigger projects (ex-Rachel Black, DOOL) https://deadline.com/2025/05/little-house-on-the-prairie-laura-ingalls-cast-alice-halsey-1236383465/

    • I liked that Steffy told Liam that he should tell Hope about his tumor. As acrimonious as Steffy & Hope are to each other, I'm glad they don't use their kids as pawns.
