That would be Broderick.

I don't remember a lot about Tad but I do remember her trying to get close to Edmund (or I think I do, anyway). 

Late Broderick also had Tad and Edmund going to save Gloria from Dimitry and get the baby back from him. I am not sure if she would have reunited Tad/Gloria or if Teresa Blake was leaving anyway.

When Gillian first came on, she was free spirited and had an open attitude about sex and love.  She would flirt with Kevin (she figured out he was gay and was accepting), Mateo (Hayley promptly put a stop to that), Edmund, and Tad.

Her first few months pre-Ryan were very eventful and I have a feeling that might have been why some viewers weren't keen on, plus she didn't have that American 90s view on love and relationships.

There was a funny scene where Tad decided to show her what being with him would truly be like and invited her for a date.  She gets there.. and he's there with his son Jamie and he says that a night with him would involve watching movies with Jamie, playing games, and not many nights going out to parties.   Gillian promptly makes an excuse to call off the date.  It was a cute scene.

Deadline's obituary doesn't even have the right photo. (I think that's Lauren B. Martin, Camille from ATWT, among other roles). Kind of says it all about the view of daytime in the industry.

Thank you for the extra details. I remember that Tad scene now. The last few years before that character was trashed.

I imagine some people just thought she had some generic Eurotrash accent especially as the various types of South African accents weren't as well known to the American public. I'm glad most people had the sense to know better.  

I hear McT tales & just marvel at the consistency. At the time I didn't necessarily know who was who because I was new to AMC. Somehow I missed out on knowing some people doubted her accent. I'm just as glad as can be about that since she certainly sounded authentic to me. I think I fit with a particular subset of AMC fans. I only liked Gillian with Ryan. I only liked Ryan with Gillian. Fortunately I loved them together so it worked perfectly. This weekend I am just knocked over at our losing her so young. I can't get past it.

Thank you for the extra details. I remember that Tad scene now. The last few years before that character was trashed.

I think it's more so blamed on Getty; they likely went to find the most clear solo image of TerBlanche, and per the results, it's likely what article author Bruce Haring chose.

Not to veer off course, but I remember when people would get mad about how J Eddie Peck would say "Gillian" Something like "Geeun" is how it sounded lol

After the way he treated her I lost interest, but there's no denying they had the most chemistry together of any of his pairings (she never really had any other proper pairing).

It happens more often than not, even in images uploaded today. Photographer likely tags/tagged the wrong performer, and Getty didn't fact-check it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Poor Gloria. She was always one of my favorite AMC characters and so underrated yet the show really threw her around. I remember finding her short lived marriage to Dimitri so random and odd, I don’t think the show knew what to do with the character by that point anymore.
