Leo has got to go!

The Body and Soul stuff was cringeworthy bad. How embarrassing!!

Again they are dumbing down Stephanie.

The best part of the show so far is seeing Carson Can't Act Boatman's hot chest and pecs.

The rest of the show can be flushed down the toilet.

I can't believe this Body & Soul crap is supposed to be a legitimate story. What are even the stakes? Maybe if Abe had, I dunno, leveraged his retirement money against this, or someone had real personal investment in it -- like it was Johnny's one last shot to make it as a writer/director. But what are we even supposed to care about here?

So, does she knock on the door and then stand there and pose?  Or does she walk up to the door pose, and then knock?  Beyond everything else, it is the single thing that I can't get off of my mind.  It was such an unnatural way to stand in a doorway.

And when Kate & Abe hire Leo as the writer (aka the RonC surrogate), I'm worried that people's heads are going to explode.

Mhmm, exactly. The "writer" may not have introduced, but he's abused it beyond its necessity.

I agree, especially when I so closely associated Jen Lilley with the role (and still kind of do), but Emily O'Brien has done incredible work... just a shame that cheap-ass wig is still in-use.

Yeah… we really didn’t need any reminders of that gross ass Dimitri storyline #PoorPeter

Still no sympathy for Leo. Besides, he has no right to be missing Gwen after what he did to her. I’m glad she hung up on him

And Chad deserved a lot better today as well. He should have spent the entire episode with Jack. I am little interested in what’s going to happen for them, now that Jack got the photo enhanced.

Gabi/Stefan were sweet today. They really do seem to have good chemistry. NuGabi still doing a really good job.

As for Bobby-Everett/Connie, I just don’t care lol

Did I misunderstand, or did Leo say that Xander was going to take an acting role in Body & Soul? We haven't seen a hint of that on screen. Guess it's the perils of filming out of order and a poor (or non-existent) continuity supervisor.

And it sure seemed like they were laying the ground for Gwen to return in the Leo-Chad scene.

I heard him say that too and I was wondering if I missed something or wasn't paying attention lol.

NuGabi really channels CB's energy.  She does a good job.  I still miss Camila, but the recast is good.

Do we know if EOB is out?  She very well could return as Gwen.  They keep talking about her.

The show isn't good right now and we were warned by people on Twitter that it was going to get really bad minus the tribute and returns for Doug's funeral.

It is unfortunate that we have a long time to wait for some better stories. They should've scraped Ron's remaining mess and started from scratch.

I'm just happy Carlivati is finally gone and that's a great reason to celebrate.

We could skip the next 8 months and return then as viewers.

    • Oh, wow. This explains why there is a scene in one of the 1987 episodes where Alan out of the blue brings up Rita to Ed! It always seemed incredibly out of place before now. For most of 1987 Alan was involved with Vanessa. Marland initially planned to have Rita and Vanessa become rivals over Ed. They ultimately decided Ed and Van were not a good pairing. While I was never convinced Van was in love with Alan, she could be very possessive, so the two of them fighting over him could have been very interesting.  If she had come back with a KID, after Maureen accepted Ed's baby with Claire.... SO MANY great possibilities here. Not to mention, if she had come back, MAYBE that would have kept Alan out of Reva's orbit. (I can dream, can't I?) My guess for why they didn't bring her back in 1989--Alan was being hustled off the canvas, plus after bringing back Zaslow and Garrett, they might not have been able to afford her.
    • After listening to the songs that MVJ co-wrote for Deniece Williams ... I wonder what MVJ's real-life girl group The Articulettes sang?  And what did Anita's fictional Articulettes sing?

    • Is there anything in print or fan lore or info about Don Stewart & temperament or behavior? Of course my brain could be playing tricks on me.
    • “On ERICA versus RACHEL, Erica was a very unique character. ... Rachel was a lower-class Erica, her mother was a cleaning woman, and her goals were not nearly stratospheric as Erica’s. Rachel just wanted to marry Russ or somebody with money. What Erica and Rachel have in common is they thought if they could get their dream, they’d be satisfied. But that dream has been very elusive.”– Agnes Nixon, Creator, ONE LIFE TO LIVE, ALL MY CHILDREN, and LOVING So my takeaway from this, plus knowing the characters, is that both Rachel & Erica schemed for acquisition. They wanted to acquire romance, husbands, prosperity, a kind of low-level fame or notoriety.  Am I correct in thinking that Carla schemed for safety, camouflage, to keep from getting caught & so for survival? Or did she also scheme for things similar to above?
