Okay, good. I didn't think he was 18 yet - his Bar MItzvah wasn't that long ago I thought. But when it's not your kid, time seems to fly faster.

As for JE, I think TPTB know who and what they have in her. She's got more knowledge and ability in her baby finger than most, and they obviously know the skills when they are presented.

So glad that *Betty White* won for Best Show. Seriously, you know that's the reason. I don't watch B&B, but from all the talk, her stint was one of the best in the show's history. Speaking of Betty White, wouldn't she be a trip as Edward's sister? Or maybe Helena's good but sometimes evil twin? She should definitely be the next guest on GH.

I am so flipping happy that Drew Garrett did ****not**** win. What little I've read from him since his exit confirms, for me, that Phelps is not the big, bad witch that some portray her to be. I'm not a fan of people who feel entitled and lack gratitude; same goes for their fans. Anyway, bye bye, thanks for playing, and *next*!

That was so cool about JE! That makes two shout-outs in three years, although I liked TG's a lot more. ;)

Well TG loves her, the directors appreciate and respect her. I'd imagine TG's would be better.

DG NOT winning was the best part of the show IMO (although the Cirq. de Sol carb was impressive - even if misplaced). That guy is following in the well trod footsteps of GF and TR, whining in the press and using it for their own personal platform. From just watching them I can understand why GH doesn't want any of them back. SJB got her fingers wrapped for the same stunt but seems to have learned her lesson.

Love your ideas re: Betty White. Although I'd love to see her as a potential woman-friend for Edward. THEN we'd see Tracy's claws come out. I would pay admission to see Betty White and Jane Elliot going toe-to-toe. Or maybe the sister is a good idea..... she could come with juicy family secrets. Or how about Edward's Sister-in-Law who knows more than she should..... of the possibilities are endless.....

Lila's sister! That has Betty White written all over it. Sweetness and light, sunshine and rainbows, butter wouldn't melt... But Tracy knows better. Then, it goes from sunshine to sarcasm. And I'm with you, I really would pay to see this. And I'll bet Betty White would be game. She was really nervous about the SNL gig which she nailed.

Betty White on General Hospital: It's officially out there in the universe. B)

So true about DG and GF. (Missed most of the TR drama. I know he's outspoken.) I can see why not only GH made, and continues to make, their decisions in that regard, but why *any* show would think twice about bringing either her into the fold. Can't see inviting a potential/probable logistical and PR nightmare.

So much truth there! Seems no one does want that headache.

I'm a firm believer in the one who talks the most also has the most to hide. I don't think it's a simple matter of "DG is amazing but he wasn't intense enough". All he did was "intense". CD is already a lot more varied. Sure I can do without the constant knitted eyebrows, but he's much more multi-facited. This guy has me wanting what's next. DG had me wanting him to shut up and go sit in the corner.

I'm still stuck on Betty White playing another Mrs. Quartermaine, or Ms. Morgan...... that would be super!!!

Ethan brings Luke cigars, and E tells Luke to find a way to 'win his wife back'. Luke says he's got a plan to put some distance between himself and his "popsicle", to which Ethan responds "assuming with the popsicle melts there is a heart". Luke takes exception saying he intends to spend the rest of his life with his wife. More blather about Monte Carlo and trying to keep Ethan away from Johnny without Ethan getting wise, but Ethan blows him off.

Later Lucky and Luke talk about Ethan.

No Tracy - just a shout out that Luke intends to spend his life with her.

I really hope she is on tomorrow before Luke leaves. I thought one of the sospsites said Luke thinks if Tracy sees his suitcases that she might reconsider.

I hope they have another scene or two before she finds out he left. I eould think they might but who knows

That is how it struck me . I finally watched the clip .

They were thanking people who gave them direction. Did they ever show the guys name who accepted the award?

Saw Billy Elliot last night. It was amazing.

What happened to Tracy beginning to soften spoiler? I hope she is on today. I bet shell be in the last segment pissed right after Luke leaves and tell the kids he took her funds

I suspect that won't actually play out until Thursday, Hooked. After her talk with Lulu she might soften and then bam - the news of the money.

I don't know who the guy accepting was, but it was interesting that the only four people mentioned were the HW, EP some other writer/ex and Jane.

I also wanted to tell everyone I'm gone in an hour or so to visit Things 2&3 at summer camp, so I'm not around to recap the day. Hopefully Ms. Q will happen by and do it for everyone.

    • @Soapsuds Thanks for posting Night by night Mon 8pm The Rookies edged Gunsmoke but attracted younger(more desirable) viewers.NBC failed with Born Free/Smothers Brothers (how many different series did those 2 get??) 9-11pm  Maude/Rhoda/Medical Center dominated on CBS,but Football and Movies were competitive on an occasional basis. ABC tried  SWAT/Caribe later in the season and the former worked for them. Tues 8-11 pm CBS all the way Good Times, MASH, Hawaii Five O,Barnaby Jones. NBC had the fading Adam 12,Movie and Police Story mmm...don't see that listed? ABC Happy Days, which ABC decided to keep despite lackluster ratings, the Movie of the Week and Marcus Welby-once pulling big numbers but no longer. 8pm NBC had a new hit with Little House, easily beating Sons and Daughters, which was axed and replaced with Tony Orlando, which did much better. ABC had That's My Mama and the Wed movie. 9pm Cannon was the lead here as Lucas Tanner failed to capitalize on the LHOTP leadin. ABC continued the movie. 10pm Manhunter started strong for CBS but petered out and was cancelled. Petrocelli manged to beat Get Christie Love, which was replaced by Baretta-no ratings winner but ABC decided to renew. Thurs Another CBS night with The Waltons and a movie. ABC counterprogrammed with Odd Couple/Paper Moon then Barney Miller/Karen NBC did even worse with Sierra and replaced it with Mac Davis which improved ratings quite a bit. However, it was moved to 9pm for Sunshine/Bob Crane 9pm Some good numbers for ABC with Streets of San Francisco fending off Ironside,Archer and Mac Davis. 10pm Harry O had a slim victory over Movin On Fri 8-11 NBCs best night Sanford/Chico/Rockford/Police Woman. 8pm CBS had high hopes for Planet of the Apes but it bombed. Replacement Khan did even worse. Paul Sand and We'll Get By were tossed in at the end of the season. With poor lead ins the Friday movie didn't deliver. ABC's odd line up saw Kodiak flop, Six Million dollar Man struggle and Texas Wheelers  quickly cancelled. Kung Fu was brought in @8 and Six Million moved to 9. Then Kolchak took over at 8 and Hot*l Baltimore/Odd Couple 9-10. Despite controversy Hot*l flopped. 10pm ABC tried Kolchak then Baretta and finally Get Christie Love Sat CBS lead  with #1 AITF then Paul Sand/MTM/Bob Newhart/Carol Burnett. Paul Sand lost too much of the lead in so CBS spun off The Jeffersons and it was a smash. NBC did OK with Emergency (which beat Paul Sand on occasion, thus hastening that show's demise) and a movie. ABC was a disaster with New Land/Kung Fu and Nakia all failing. They introduced a movie @9 and moved Kung Fu to 8. Sun  NBC  with Disney and Mystery Movie (Columbo McCloud, MacMillan and Wife/Amy Prentiss)did well. ABC flopped with Sonny Bono and recovered by moving Six Million Dollar Man from Fri as a lead in to the movie. CBS hoped Apples Way would be another Waltons but no, so Cher did what Sonny couldn't. Kojak and Mannix successfully finished out the night. Two other shows on the ratings list were Adams of Eagle Lake starring Andy Griffith. Only 2 episodes aired and did well, so I'm not sure what happened there. As for The Law it was a series follow up to a 2 and a half hour NBC special movie .

    • Trust is very easily lost and very hard to re-build.
    • Oh, I know it was. I was just talking about how it's not giving me parallels to Caroline dying. It's really as far from it as possible.  But about the foreshadowing - Hahahhahah. Yes. And you missed one - Liam googling - "what is cancer"...
    • GH 2-17-21 Denise Alexander's last appearance https://www.instagram.com/p/DJdjXgwJ1Ez/
    • @Maxim This Liam dying out of the blue was crafted in a hurry for three reasons: 1. To facilitate JMW's leave 2. To prop Steffy - 'Oh, Steffy has so much grace and moral superiority that she ignored everything that swine HoLo did to tell her for the sake of their daughters. Queen Stephanie would be so proud of her!' 3. Distracting Steffy enough to give Lunacy an easy way to slither into Finn's life. Once Luna discovers that Lame is dying, she'll play that card: 'Dad, life is too short and precious!' If this was an intentional story, we would've had the typical B&B foreshadowing - Liam faceplanting into a bowl of pasta, Lame missing meetings, being forgetful. Instead, Lame does an impulsive quick quit and $B doesn't even care enough to make a single attempt to get him back? Please.
    • https://www.tvinsider.com/1180503/denise-alexander-dead-general-hospital-lesley-webber/ Alexander made her soap opera debut as Lois Adams on The Clear Horizon in 1960, but her big break came in 1966 when she was cast as Susan Hunter Martin on Days of Our Lives while still attending college at UCLA. As Susan, Alexander played a host of dramatic tales, including murdering her husband David Martin (played by Clive Clerk) in May 1967 after the death of their son. “She started out as the bad girl and was thrown out of boarding school for smoking and drinking,” recalled Alexander to We Love Soaps TV. “The character caught on and sparked something with the audience, and that is how Susan became an important part of the show. I was there for almost seven years…. I had such a wonderful time on Days. It was like going to camp every day for me. I loved the people, loved the show, and loved what I got to do. They loved the character and liked me as an actor and gave me lots of neat stuff to do. I didn’t even ask for a vacation for five years because if I worked 365 days a year, I thought I was great. It was a very good time in my life.” In 1973, Alexander was in contract negotiations with Days when ABC offered significant perks to the actress to join General Hospital to play Dr. Lesley Williams. Though Alexander loved her time in Salem, she decided to leave. “It was [Days’ Executive Producer] Betty Corday who sent me to General Hospital,” Alexander told welovesoaps.net. “She said, ‘You must do this.’ So when I went to General Hospital..."
