Earlier this week, CBS and the Golden Globes announced that comedian, writer and actress Nikki Glaser will return as host of “The 84th Annual Golden Globes,” airing live Sunday, January 10, 2027, on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
This marks the third consecutive year in which Glaser will host, following her widely praised performances in 2025 and 2026, during which she made history as the first woman to host the Golden Globes solo.
“We are thrilled to welcome Nikki back to the Golden Globes stage in 2027,” said Helen Hoehne, President, Golden Globes. “Her comedic precision, authenticity, and ability to command the room is unmatched, and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for next year’s show.”
“I’m thrilled to host the Golden Globes for a third time, not only because it’s the greatest gig I’ve ever had, but because my sister has three kids and now we will be equal in the eyes of my parents and the Lord,” commented Glaser.
The largest awards show in the world to celebrate the best of film, television, and podcasting, the 2027 Golden Globes will also see Dick Clark Productions returning to plan, host and produce the annual broadcast, dubbed “Hollywood’s Party of the Year,” which has been viewed in more than 185 countries and territories worldwide.
According to Nielsen, “The 83rd Annual Golden Globes,” “ET: Live on the Golden Globes Red Carpet,” and the new primetime special “Golden Eve” reached a combined 21.77 million viewers on CBS and Paramount+.
In 2024, Glaser experienced a career-defining year in which she was named “Comedian of the Year” by The New York Times, followed by her inclusion on the “TIME100: The Most Influential People of 2025” list and continued her momentum with the HBO special “Someday You’ll Die,” which earned Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe and Critics Choice nominations and a WGA win. More recently, Glaser made her hosting debut on “Saturday Night Live” and continues to tour internationally.
Among her slate of projects on deck, Glaser will star alongside Kim Kardashian in the Eva Longoria-directed Netflix comedy “The Fifth Wheel,” and is co-writing, producing, and starring in an original comedy inspired by the classic game MASH for Paramount Pictures, and will star in, co-write and produce a new romantic comedy for Universal Pictures that will see Judd Apatow producing.
Glaser’s upcoming stand-up comedy special, “Good Girl,” is set to premiere on Hulu on Friday, April 24, 2026.
