You're welcome nex. And perhaps Jason being rather out of it helped? And Sonny was getting comedic scenes instead of his usual brooding ones, so that helped too IMO.

So I am realizing from posts on various boards that the Emmys are on tonight. Is it wrong that I want TG to win just to see if he thanks JE?

On the topic of YouTube awesomeness... If you like TrAsh (and or the Q's)...

alanandmonicaforever and halee both have good scenes up. :D

Search Tracy GH (this week).

TONY GEARY WON!

I'm feeling a bit bad for wanting TG to win just so he could thank JE. I mean, he did have good material in the dramatic episode he submitted, AND I do consider him to be a fabulous actor; I just SO wanted that Jane Elliot mention. Good thing I got it, huh? LOL.

I don't have this taped, so I can't rewind, but he thanked his partner in crime, Jane Elliot, said she makes him better, keeps him on time, something about knowing his words... It was all very sweet.

Sadly, GH won Best Drama. I don't get it. No writing award. No directing award. Just 1 acting nominee and award. But BEST DRAMA?! And Jill? "This was expected." Are you serious?! My mom can't understand why I'm not happy. Hellooooo, one month/year of good writing is NOT good... And Guza will just keep doing what he's doing now that he's got another shiny statue. Blah.

BTW, for those wondering about GH's montage: It was mainly Hostage Crisis scenes. Nothing with Tracy.

Also, JE/Tracy was not in the tape that they showed of TG/Luke. It was from a Luke/Sonny scene.

But, anyway CONGRATS TO TONY GEARY!

And SQUEE for the Jane Elliot mention!

Well I just watched the boring-ass Emmys and watched to see if TG would win. I everyone saying if TG won would he thank JE. Well we got our wish, TG did win and he did thank his as he put it "partner in crime" JE. I knew he would whoohoo. :D

EDIT

Ms. Q I was also disappointed that gh won. I was thinking the samw as you do, that Guza can continue writing sh!t that he does and he can always go back to saying we won best drama that year. Gh sucks!!

Im NOT happy GH stole the best show Emmy yet again. and what a class act that JFP is  I guess this just gives GH more validation to continue being crappy all year except at sweeps. BLAH

and while I loved the Jane mentio by Tony, I was really hoping for Peter Bergman to win. I've loved him since I could remember, and really was rooting for him

Hey to whomever watched...about how far into the show does TG win? I want to record and upload it for Hooked upon her homecoming but I don't want to watch the whole show...

halee, it's the second to last category. You will prob. be safe if you tape the last 20 minutes. :D (maybe make that 25 to be on the safe side)

Can I just say how AWESOME it is that about 98% of the posts I have read post-Emmy's include incredible disappointment and shock that GH won Best Drama? Does my heart good. :)

Yes, Ms. Q, he did say that! (And he's right!)

Tony said: "...and to my partner in crime, Jane Elliot, who makes me better. She makes me on time. She makes me know my words."

OK I just saw a pic from the Emmy's. TG is a brilliant actor, but what the hell is he wearing? He looks like Max Headroom at a gay bar on Latex Fetish Night! Not that there is anything wrong with that!

Yeah I think watching the Daytime Emmy's for the fashion is kinda like watching The Country Music Awards for political enlightenment.

    • Seeing Peter Bergman (Jack) and Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) act opposite each other really makes me mad that their short-lived reunion in 2012 was just that... short-lived. I've always loved the Jack/Nikki pairing.
    • No.  I recall there was also a mention about how distracting it was EOB's Gwen wasn't wearing nail polish as well.  That it was someone's pet peeve. And, yes, the fact characters can have a manicure in prison is the wildest continuity issue here.
    • Can anyone remember Mary Ellen Stuart's run as Jenny? I'm trying to fill in the cracks for missing stuff that we overlooked.  Bulletpoints:  * Dated Ross * Rusty's police partner * Directly responsible for Dinah coming forward about George Stewart (Cam's father)
    • But that's not weird... nail polish is allowed in prisons via commissary. Same with general makeup, haircuts, and hair colouring products.
    • This is DAYS, the show that said you could brainwash anyone with simple kitchen appliances.  An actor's nail polish or lack thereof should be the least of our concerns, lol.
    • It was not that she wasn't wearing nail polish, it is that she managed to get a manicure in prison
    • "We're Knot Done Yet": the name of this lovely podcast AND what JVA tells her plastic surgeon at every appointment. In other news, Michele Lee is reminding me more and more of my old music teacher from elementary school, and I couldn't STAND that bitch.
    • I apologize if this has been covered already, but does anyone know whether Douglas Marland was HW'ing by that point?  If he was, then I see what he meant when he said (in so many words) that he had inherited a mess when he started at GH.  Aside from Alan and Monica, none of that material seems very promising.  The story with Mark Dante and the Corbins is the wrong kind of predictable (y'know, the kind where you know what's going to happen, but you just don't give a crap?), the stuff with Scotty and Laura is cute but toothless, I don't know WHAT the hell Gina and Steve Carlson's character are arguing about and Rick Webber has to be the dumbest man alive not to see David Hamilton twirling his invisible moustache over how to make a killing off Lamont Corbin's declining health.  (By the way, "LAMONT CORBIN"?  What is this, "The Shadow"?  And "Corbin Limited" sounds like some jive I'd hear over on Y&R.) In a way, it's kind of like watching today's GH, right down to the dialogue that's serviceable and pushes plot along but says nothing about the characters' inner lives.
    • It absolutely was; the narrative was there, and they followed it promptly. Maybe that's back when women had babies at young ages?!?!?
