The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, Daytime Emmys, #DaytimeEmmys,

Following our earlier report, which was based on fast national ratings data, Nielsen has now released final national figures for Friday, June 7.

The updated figures again showed that “The 51st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” increased substantially from last year’s telecast among Total Viewers and included how the awards show performed in Adults 18-49.

The two-hour ceremony averaged 2.917 million viewers and a 0.25 rating in Adults 18-49, up from the 2.03 million viewers who watched last year’s much-delayed December telecast and the 0.14 rating it averaged in the key sales demo. Overall, the ceremony hit a four-year high in viewers and the demo, ranking second for the night in Total Viewers and fifth in unrounded Adults 18-49. Only a repeat of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune” on ABC performed better among Total Viewers (4.133 million vs. 2.917 million).

According to Programming Insider, the Daytime Emmy Awards pulled a 0.27 rating among Women 18-49 and a 0.23 rating among Men 18-49. In Households, the show had a 1.87 rating and 7 share. Live+3 and Live+7 viewing will be released in the coming days.

The improved ratings performance for the Daytime Emmys comes just as CBS and The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) prepare to discuss whether to continue their exclusive broadcast partnership. The network has carried the awards show exclusively for five consecutive years, and this year marked the 18th time CBS has aired it since it was first conceived in 1974.
