See? The funny thing is he isn't my type either. And definitely don't like his rl personality. But I can say he's not ugly for the most part, but never really found him attractive...until the suits and dad bod.

Michael...not my favorite of Sonny's kids...I'm...mostly indifferent now in a wasted potential sense.

Another good story in the making for the saga of 'If/When Kristina loses the baby...'

He's not a bad looking guy and if I met him in real life I would think he was really handsome I assume.  He is so played out and I think that really affects perspective because I do eyeroll him ever time I see him.

But also CD was a hottie in the early 2010 era.

Back in 2010 If you had told me that CD would be a long-term GH actor, I would have said you are crazy. I thought Michael would have been like OLTL's Kevin & Joey Buchanan. Multiple well recieved actors doing a 3 year contract & then being recast.

I guess because I had such a long break from GH, Michael and Chad aren’t bothering me like he did in the past. I think it’s because I’ve been pleasantly surprised to see he’s truly in the Quartermaine fold now. I had hoped when Sonny killed AJ and Michael disowned him, it would’ve stuck but this is a nice compromise.

I mean, where is he going to go?  He's the most vanilla, blandest actor on the planet right now.  It's basically a dog fight between Willow, Sasha, and Michael on who can be the most boring.  Michael has enough history to be a bit more exciting, but CD looks bored 99%  100% of the time so the chips just fall where they do.

In that dogfight of Willow, Sasha, and Michael...even the ladies outpace him at the moment. With Willow that's only because of the potential triangle that might come her way. And with Sasha...well...she's always had potential bad girl/girl down on her luck about her that bad writing aside works to her advantage.

Such wasted potential.

But at least he's in the Quartermaine fold again aside from that rushed tale.

Chad’s in a similar situation as Scott Clifton; he’s a nice looking guy but the character he plays just makes him so unappealing. Part of me still wonders how Willow chose him over Chase

And I don’t know if it’s the writing or the way that Chad portrays it, but Michael’s biggest problem is that he’s literally a child trapped in a man’s body. Most of the time when he’s angry, he just comes off like a bratty little kid. There’s been no growth in his character over all these years

I actually think Scott Clifton is much better looking than Chad, but your point is spot on.  I think it makes sense his character is bratty with his upbringing, but Michael is a very stagnant character.  I would give the character a long break and probably recast.

It doesn't help that CD has no romantic chemistry with anyone.  His best pairing was Abby the stripper and she got killed by a crane off screen.

Abby got killed by a crane off screen.  The actress and character weren't appearing much and I guess they fired her because she was on the phone with Michael and something fell off a crane and she died.  I am not making this up.  Michael went somewhere to scatter her ashes and everything.  I believe it was that weird writing period post Guza when Garin Wolf took over and before RC.

    • Very. They're building up his story again and picking the perfect time to do so. As the SilkPress storyline climaxes and go off in several great directions, they are building up that story to take a turn.

    • @Soapsuds Thanks for posting Night by night Mon 8pm The Rookies edged Gunsmoke but attracted younger(more desirable) viewers.NBC failed with Born Free/Smothers Brothers (how many different series did those 2 get??) 9-11pm  Maude/Rhoda/Medical Center dominated on CBS,but Football and Movies were competitive on an occasional basis. ABC tried  SWAT/Caribe later in the season and the former worked for them. Tues 8-11 pm CBS all the way Good Times, MASH, Hawaii Five O,Barnaby Jones. NBC had the fading Adam 12,Movie and Police Story mmm...don't see that listed? ABC Happy Days, which ABC decided to keep despite lackluster ratings, the Movie of the Week and Marcus Welby-once pulling big numbers but no longer. 8pm NBC had a new hit with Little House, easily beating Sons and Daughters, which was axed and replaced with Tony Orlando, which did much better. ABC had That's My Mama and the Wed movie. 9pm Cannon was the lead here as Lucas Tanner failed to capitalize on the LHOTP leadin. ABC continued the movie. 10pm Manhunter started strong for CBS but petered out and was cancelled. Petrocelli manged to beat Get Christie Love, which was replaced by Baretta-no ratings winner but ABC decided to renew. Thurs Another CBS night with The Waltons and a movie. ABC counterprogrammed with Odd Couple/Paper Moon then Barney Miller/Karen NBC did even worse with Sierra and replaced it with Mac Davis which improved ratings quite a bit. However, it was moved to 9pm for Sunshine/Bob Crane 9pm Some good numbers for ABC with Streets of San Francisco fending off Ironside,Archer and Mac Davis. 10pm Harry O had a slim victory over Movin On Fri 8-11 NBCs best night Sanford/Chico/Rockford/Police Woman. 8pm CBS had high hopes for Planet of the Apes but it bombed. Replacement Khan did even worse. Paul Sand and We'll Get By were tossed in at the end of the season. With poor lead ins the Friday movie didn't deliver. ABC's odd line up saw Kodiak flop, Six Million dollar Man struggle and Texas Wheelers  quickly cancelled. Kung Fu was brought in @8 and Six Million moved to 9. Then Kolchak took over at 8 and Hot*l Baltimore/Odd Couple 9-10. Despite controversy Hot*l flopped. 10pm ABC tried Kolchak then Baretta and finally Get Christie Love Sat CBS lead  with #1 AITF then Paul Sand/MTM/Bob Newhart/Carol Burnett. Paul Sand lost too much of the lead in so CBS spun off The Jeffersons and it was a smash. NBC did OK with Emergency (which beat Paul Sand on occasion, thus hastening that show's demise) and a movie. ABC was a disaster with New Land/Kung Fu and Nakia all failing. They introduced a movie @9 and moved Kung Fu to 8. Sun  NBC  with Disney and Mystery Movie (Columbo McCloud, MacMillan and Wife/Amy Prentiss)did well. ABC flopped with Sonny Bono and recovered by moving Six Million Dollar Man from Fri as a lead in to the movie. CBS hoped Apples Way would be another Waltons but no, so Cher did what Sonny couldn't. Kojak and Mannix successfully finished out the night. Two other shows on the ratings list were Adams of Eagle Lake starring Andy Griffith. Only 2 episodes aired and did well, so I'm not sure what happened there. As for The Law it was a series follow up to a 2 and a half hour NBC special movie .

    • Trust is very easily lost and very hard to re-build.
    • Oh, I know it was. I was just talking about how it's not giving me parallels to Caroline dying. It's really as far from it as possible.  But about the foreshadowing - Hahahhahah. Yes. And you missed one - Liam googling - "what is cancer"...
    • GH 2-17-21 Denise Alexander's last appearance https://www.instagram.com/p/DJdjXgwJ1Ez/
    • @Maxim This Liam dying out of the blue was crafted in a hurry for three reasons: 1. To facilitate JMW's leave 2. To prop Steffy - 'Oh, Steffy has so much grace and moral superiority that she ignored everything that swine HoLo did to tell her for the sake of their daughters. Queen Stephanie would be so proud of her!' 3. Distracting Steffy enough to give Lunacy an easy way to slither into Finn's life. Once Luna discovers that Lame is dying, she'll play that card: 'Dad, life is too short and precious!' If this was an intentional story, we would've had the typical B&B foreshadowing - Liam faceplanting into a bowl of pasta, Lame missing meetings, being forgetful. Instead, Lame does an impulsive quick quit and $B doesn't even care enough to make a single attempt to get him back? Please.
