May I ask everyone who they think the next female contract player will be? Lois was dropped to recurring, so it won't be her. Of these possibilities, which one will get promoted to contract?

No real reason they can't all remain recurring. But if pressed to choose, I'd say Natalia. Looks more & more like she will warm Sonny's bed. And, apparently ELR was not on the list of new Real Housewives.

That actually seems wildly out of character for Lois, but it's not like the show has brought it up lately.

I'd probably keep Trina and Kristina.   I'd add Michael to my list.

I am on the fence about Nina/Drew.  If the pairing continues I say keep, but if the writing goes back to what it was pre-PM I'd cut them.

That's 20 players either removed (10) and / or demoted (10), as well as one optional per category, allowing room for [former] players to return, or for several veterans on recurring to be bumped up (ie: Jon Lindstrom, John J. York et al). I'd cut / diminish the Ashford family in favour of the Ward family, as well. Bring on a family with Quartermaine connections.

Now that PM has left the building, I'd say chances are better than good that Drew and Nina will revert to what they were before: a wannabe game show host and the town's punching bag, respectively.

I feel compelled to keep Michael on canvas, if only b/c I think Carly needs at least one of her kids to be still in town.  (I'd send Joss to Australia to be with Jax, who has taken ill; and then have Dex join her later when he realizes how much he misses her).  But I'm not opposed to a recast!

With Spencer (presumed) dead, I don't see much use anymore for Trina, unless this show comes up with another, equally dynamic love interest for her (presumably, someone who works at the hospital).

And Kristina...?  Well, she can just leave, along with T.J. and Molly, after she miscarries that baby.  I'll even let her leave town to reconcile with Blaze, who has kicked Natalia to the curb, lol.

You wanna cut Gio/Giovanni already?  The bastard ain't even had time to unpack, lol!

My hot take is I would keep Joss over Michael lol.  I loathe Joss, but I still feel she is much less played out than CD's Michael.  He needs to leave town with his brood and be recast.  I am fine with him coming back after a break though.

I am assuming Gio who is in town for unknown reasons will be Trina's new love interest.

The thing is, Michael is also a Quartermaine, and I really want to beef up that clan somehow.  But I'm not exactly disagreeing with what you're saying here.

That's cold, man.  At least let him change his underwear before shoving his ass out the door.

Bring on the Wards and bring on Lila Rae. There are other options other than Michael, who has been long-distanced from the Q's. If anything, I'd demote Duell to recurring, and have him pop-in when necessary.

At the very least, if Joss is going to remain on the canvas, with or without Michael, I definitely need a recast for her.

And I’d stop centering that age group around Joss. Bring back a recast Emma to help shift the focus away.
