ITA...And, many people seem to be forgetting that Carlivati is NOT headwriting the show. He's going to be a breakdown writer...a completely different task...of taking the HW's vision and literally "breaking it down" for how it plays out in a specific episode.

Exactly; it's a powerless role, in my eyes, and one he's sharing with several other people. The amount of people online I'm seeing say "There are no Black writers on this soap" show they're only seeing "Guza" and "Carlivati," and smacking their mouths off without actually looking into the SCRIPT team.

It hasn't started! This is planned to be a long-running soap opera! We know next to nothing about this actual show and need to chill.

Even I have chosen to remain positive after expressing some concerns over how the show might fare in our current political environment.  So, yeah, let's not pick the song to close out the show just yet, okay, lol?

IDK how I missed that RC is part of the writing staff, but I'm not gonna let that get in the way of us all enjoying the fact that we have a new soap.

I don't feel like going back to find it or properly quote, but someone said that Bill Bell was ahead of his time when running Y&R from Chicago, and I feel like Irna Phillips would like to have a word with that person. She just wants to talk, that's all.

I think the Bell example is because he was also a credited EP/producer on Y&R remotely, like MVJ will be for BTG. This stemmed from a Twitter post about MVJ going back to LA and how she was going to produce a show remotely, I believe.

Did Irna have a producer credit in addition to creator and HW credits? She, of course, did micromanage every aspect of her shows remotely regardless as well.
