I feel so so so good, and confident, because not only is MVJ an excellent, seasoned veteran writer but she's the first black to be in the position she is in & also the first soap HW to also be a Show Runner! When I see her name & the string of titles: Creator, Headwriter, Executive Producer and Show Runner, I am filled with joy. So many firsts & so well deserved! And, the icing she's also a woman.

BTG on Paramount+ with Showtime

So, if you watch on this you are paying extra to get the show on the day of rather than the next day. However, the result is not 2 pm/live. I just got off the phone with Help/Support & today, S1E4, loaded at 5:20 Eastern & they indicated I could count on that time daily.

It seems weird that it's not 2 pm/live. I did this for the Emmys & that was live.

I feel like there's something basic about people's viewing habits & desires that they are fundamentally missing!

Are you saying you want to watch it live during its broadcast airing time? If so with that package you just have to go to the CBS local station feed attached to your account and its right there

I honestly hate that and prefer the upload to be after the national airing. I always have to avoid Eastenders and Corrie spoilers on my timeline super early in the AM, I was happy BBC waited to upload during the EE anniversary week.

I used to have ParamountPlus with showtime.
I could watch shows live on my local channel (as stated above).
So you could watch BTG at the same time that your local channel airs it.

I now have plain ParamountPlus *without* showtime.
BTG is uploaded there and also to cbs.com about an hour after it airs in Pacific Time.
That's SAME DAY (not next day).
On Monday Feb. 24, it was up at 2pm Pacific, 5pm Eastern.
Today Thurs Feb. 27, it was up at 3pm Pacific, 6pm Eastern.

If you think it's likely up but can't see it on the menu, then try this:
Watch the last five minutes of yesterday's episode, and it will segue into the start of today's episode.  If it's on the site but not on the menu yet, that will work.
If it's not on the site yet, then you have to wait.

Thanks so much. I need to experiment because I'm going to change my plan & get a refund, if so. I just don't understand  it because it worked, as promised, for the last 2 Daytime Emmys, so why is this different?

Yes & no. But, wait, I have a CBS feed in my Paramount+ w/S account? But, anyway, if it's there & I can access, once it's up it stays up, right? Like if I can't watch it till 4 eastern, it will continue to be accessible to me? I'm really not stupid. I'm thrown because something apparently exists that I had no knowledge of!!

Edit to Add: So if I select Live TV it's just whatever is on ATM & I don't see a way to go back to an earlier time. Right? If so, this doesn't help me at all.

    • Hooray we made the exact same critique to Londonscribe!!!!!
    • I don't think they had any idea who he was this time last year. I think they were keeping their options very open. Same with totally dropping the Trina romance that was spoiled for him in the mags once FV clearly took a shine to him. Frank's priorities are bright and blazing in one color. I do think Gio and Emma seem to have worked out given that she is very dry and sarcastic and he is like a hot golden retriever, but I'd still play the field or explore quads with both with very different people - Emma with a scheming young man (of color), Gio with possibly Trina or someone else, or even a boy. Then maybe put them back together, who knows. But of course none that will happen.

    • He definitely got lost in the shuffle last year. First, they were implying that he was Drew’s son, then he was nothing more than just Violet’s bff

And then they changed him to being Dante and Brook Lynn’s son, which was clunky at first but I’m enjoying the storyline now.
    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
    • It's not bad but the stories move too slow. It's the same problem when Dan O'Connor was CO-HW with Van Etten, they have a million stories and they all drag on endlessly with no resolution. I'd argue the majority of the stories airing now are good but you get sick of waiting months for something to happen.
    • Thanks. I must have missed that period entirely for Lifetime.
