Thank you so much for posting this clip!!!

The image awards were live here
https://www.bet.com/live-tv/
You can sign in for a 24-hour free pass even if you don't have cable.
They are replaying the entire ceremony a few times on the website, and you can watch on that 24-hour pass.

I watched the Pacific Time replay of the NAACP image awards as a "live" broadcast via the BET.com website last night Feb. 23.
("Live" as in "viewing it while it was being broadcast" on the website.)
The BTG presentation was around 15 minutes before the end of the Image Awards.

So I'm watching bet.com, Kerry Washington exits the stage, thanking Tyler Perry.
Clifton Davis and Karla Mosley begin talking (as in the twitter clip.)
They talk about the show, Karla says "Monday February 24 on CBS",
And then she she says to take a look a the clip ...
And at the point where the BTG promo shows in the twitter clip ...
BET.com cut to a commercial.

To clarify:
the original aired beginning at 8pm Eastern, 5pm Pacific. Then it replayed at 8pm Pacific.

In the 8pm Pacific Time Feb 22 streaming of the Image Awards on BET.com, they cut the BTG promo. Karla introduced the promo and it went directly to commercial.  The BTG promo was cut.

They're going to replay the entire Image Awards ceremony again a few times today (Feb. 23)  both on the BET cable/satellite network and on bet.com website.
I will check again to see if the promo is shown.

Hear, hear!  BTG was one of the only things I was looking forward to in 2025, and it's already been a long year for me, personally and otherwise.  But I am still so excited for this.  MVJ is one of the only soap writers still with us whom I would be excited to see get an opportunity like this.  Despite my fears about what's left of the industry and the broader climate, everything I've seen from Val Jean and the other creatives so far gives me hope.

I have spent some down time this weekend catching up on this entire thread.  I took tomorrow off from work, and will be watching the premiere in real time.  And I will likely be subscribing to Paramount Plus afterward.

I'm just glad I have a reason to USE Paramount +!  It comes free with my Walmart + subscription, but until BTG, I never had any reason to watch anything on it.

FYI, low-income persons willing to submit proof can get
a half-price WalmartPlus subscription that includes free ParamountPlus (without Showtime).

First month is free but you submit your debit/credit card now, and they automatically deduct after the first month.

ParamountPlus *without* Showtime allows you to stream shows later the same day or the next day, after it firs airs on CBS.
ParamountPlus *with* Showtime costs more but allows you to watch *live*, as well as featuring stuff from Showtime etc.

If anyone is concerned about Walmart's DEI (or non-DEI) policies, well,
I personally chose to get Walmart Plus, just to get free paramountplus,
to watch BTG and because ParamountPlus has every single Star Trek episode of every StarTrek series (except Prodigy) for the past 58 years.
Star Trek is the ultimate "diversity" show, and it helps my state of mind so much.

FYI, re: WalMart
During the broadcast (stream?) of the Image Awards on bet.com last night,
the female voice announcer in the background periodically said
( *during* the broadcast and not as a commercial)
"sponsored by WalMart" ... and something about WalMart supporting Black businesses?
Which was interesting considering all the recent news reports about WalMart discontinuing its DEI policies. Did WalMart change their minds?
Or was this something long-ago scripted for the Image Awards show?

Re: Procter & Gamble - P&G had a special segment during the NAACP Image Awards highlighting their commitment to HBCU.  It was sort of a commercial for P&G but not really. Although they want to sell their products to students, it was more than that.
This is what the segment talked about:

My better half and I subscribed for a few years to watch The Good Fight and Evil.  We were always years behind on the former—and ultimately gave up on the latter—because we spent more time trying to get it to play on our TV than we did watching.  Comcast and/or Apple always seemed to be sabotaging it.  We tried the app that came preloaded on the cable box, Apple TV, and even projecting from the computer display; there was always some glitch.

He won't be watching BTG, so I'll just stream it on my phone/laptop.  The one lasting improvement I found when I watched GH last year for the first time in decades was the ability to stream it with no ads via Hulu.  Where was my iPhone 30 years ago?

Yes that's exactly what I saw on bet.com.
Karla said let's take a look, but then it cut off and went to commercial

Okay so I watched again just now the full program here:
 https://www.bet.com/naacp-image-awards/episodes/5tov9n/56th-naacp-image-awards-56th-naacp-image-awards-ep-2

Same thing.  BET cut it off when Karla said Let's take a look at P&G's commitment to "Widen the Screen".
Then they abruptly cut to the next section of the awards ceremony.
So anyone watching on BET.com  would *not* have seen the BTG promo and wouldn't have had a clear idea of what Karla and Clifton were describing.

--------------------------

The whole thing including the promo is here, which I wasn't able to see in my viewing because bet cut it off.   I guess this aired on CBS or paramount, or one of the other services?

@janea4old the whole segment aired during the original broadcast of the Awards on CBS, BET, etc but I’m guessing the promo video portion was meant as an ad similarly to how the Grammy’s will debut videos for artists sequenced in with the show but not include them in the rerun edits. That moment with Kerry Washington is one of the most viral of the night so it was a good marketing spot for the show
