P&G has long been one of the most progressive conglomerates in America. They don’t get the recognition because of their midwestern roots, and within daytime because their soaps were always stigmatized as your “grandma’s soaps” but if you look into their corporate history, you’ll find they’ve supported and upheld many progressive policies for their employees and wider society. Obviously, like any company, they have their skeletons and cons, but it is what it is.

-- I hope CBS puts today's special up on the website, because my Xfinity didn't record. The grid shows only "Bold & the Beautiful," for the hour, and although I did set it to record, it was set for only NEW episodes -- and that was marked as a repeat. UGH.

-- Tracker and Watson both aired BTG promos during last night's episodes. Tracker is the #1 most watched primetime show at the moment, so that was great to see.

I saw a post somewhere (here or on social media) that said they had to program their VCR to specifically record "Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood".  Otherwise it wouldn't record.

This would be separate from setting to record *only* BTG actual episodes.

Thanks @Errol .
I noticed that CHCH is not carrying the "BTG welcome to the neighborhood" specials during week of Feb. 17- 21.  In their 2pm timeslot is reruns of "Mad About You".
But their listings starting week of Feb. 24 do show BTG episodes in that same timeslot.

Since the BTG neighborhood specials were produced with help from ET, I am *randomly speculating/wondering* if "ET-Canada" might show the BTG neighborhood specials at some point?  Just wondering because ...
Y&R's 50th anniversary had a behind-the-scenes special (produced in cooperation with ET in USA),
and it aired separately on "ET-Canada".

Call it nepotism, or whatever, but there are two (of many) reasons why Jon has this role:

  • Like Michael Park ("As The World Turns"), Jon Lindstrom is a recognizable face who has appeared in numerous political dramas and suspense thrillers dealing with the mob, bad guys and immoral people. None of which describes Jon himself, but he is an immense talent that any show would love to have available to them.
  • Long time friends with the show's creator, head writer, executive producer and showrunner, who has fought on behalf of and spearheaded her work as long as time has existed.
