God even those short moments of the new Salem bs makes me sick.. like sincerely sick.. How they got away with it and how this saved this show makes me wonder what bunch of people actually watch this show. I mean I loved Days but that was even too much for me.. Days has become as dumb as Passions

I actually watched DAYS back then and while I found the Melaswen twist cheating and quite bad, I did enjoy some of it.

Speaking of shocking revelations, I didn't watch when Delia died, so I don't know if that was really so shocking, but for me, I think for Y&R they maybe should have went with the Kay/Jill as mother and daughter. That was a huge revelation (albeit a horrible one). But I remember still Kay finding out, then having a stroke.. and then Jill finding out and running to stop Billy/Mac's wedding. I actually enjoyed all of those. But in the grander scheme of things, it was a bad decision.

How about

AMC: Angie sees Jesse in the early morning fog at the train

And, another thing, when I think back to really remarkable reveals one of the first I think of is DAYS Mike Horton's paternity, where that secret was kept for 8 years!

10. General Hospital - Lucky is alive

9. Young & Restless - Delia killed by a drunk driver

8. Days of Our Lives - Stefano is alive (even after Joe Mascolo had died)

7. Guiding Light - Reva's clone

6. All My Children - Erica's un-abortion

5. One Life to Live - Karen's testimony

4. General Hospital - Metro Court Hostage Crisis

3. Days of Our Lives - Melaswen

2. General Hospital - BJ's death

1. Days of Our Lives - Marlena's possession

It seems to me that there is a reveal attached to each of these except #4. There would be a reveal that Lucky is not dead, but alive. There would be a reveal that Delia had been hit & killed by a drunk driver. There would be a reveal that a clone of Reva actually existed. Etc. The reveal of the heinous Unabortion, probably the single worst thing to happen ever in any soap, was almost surreal.
