So when is Sonny going to divorce Nina? He can't possibly be happy about her going after Drew and Carly, can he? If Nina is going to go this dark road as an ubervillain, then why not have Sonny completely sever ties with Nina and move on? Willow too? In fact, I would be more than happy if Nina and Willow never have anything to do with each other ever again.

The above Brighton interview is wonderful.  Highly recommend.

(Fairman was emotional and repeated himself a little, but it seemed (to me) that that was him speaking less as an interviewer and more as a viewer, still deeply moved by the Bobbie memorial with "Angela" Brighton in the episodes.  Then he would recover for a minute and speak as an interviewer.)

Brighton herself is amazing.

She deeply remembers her time on the show a child actor.  She was on the show since she was a baby so maybe doesn't remember the first few years but certainly remembers several years of her time there.  She says it's one the most important things in her life, despite it ending 39 years ago.  She had a single mom and she had siblings in the business, but the cast and crew were like her family, too.  To come back and see so many veteran actors and some crew/staff still there - was so familiar. She said everything looked exactly the same but felt smaller in size, since she is now taller than when she was a child, LOL.

She remembers her time working as a child, vividly, and Jackie, and Brad Maule.  So many things that we as viewers remember,  that you wouldn't expect a child actor to notice, she remembers!  Specific scenes, etc.

Brighton said it was great seeing everyone again, and they were surprised/happy to see her, too.  Brighton said that when she was a child, she'd watched Zenon (The Disney films that Kirsten Storms appeared in) !!! - and was happy to meet Kirsten because of that, in addition to the more important relevance that Maxie has BJ's heart. She said Kirsten was great and helped her orient.  She said that Maurice Benard gave her a rundown on how filming happens nowadays which was helpful.  Seeing Lynn Herring and Kristina Wagner again, getting to know Ryan Carnes, etc. etc. etc.

She said she didn't want her return to be about her. She wanted it to be about Jackie. While she was filming the recent episodes, she could have spent time socializing more, but instead chose to keep the focus on remembering Jackie and honoring Bobbie.  This was meaningful to her.  She said it was spiritual or something like that, but didn't want to label it specifically.  She liked that it was open to viewer interpretation.

Just watch.  She's amazing.

I've found someone who is clipping all Kate Mansi/Kristina scenes. Now they're not up to date but they keep at it & they have more than anywhere else. Here's the link:

I think it is such a great idea putting it on the Internet Archive site!

    • Thanks for posting this, fascinating read. It's clear how ambivalent Wyndham is about Justine. IMO, it reads like she agrees that the end of the storyline was bad, but reading between the lines I think she thought she was doing good work for the meat of it....which was not the case. As bad as the writing for most of that story was, it was truly made worse by her embarrassing performance. After the story concluded she kept falling back into Justine ticks, when she wasn't phoning he scenes in. Not to play Freud, but was it to tr*ll her critics?

    • I love this more than any theory I've seen yet
    • I wonder what Dana and Hayley's first scene will be like. Dana has fear/contempt for Bill, but I can imagine Hayley being curious to meet her.
    • Daphne was just FANTASTIC today. I know people wanted histronics and it may still come but she was pitch perfect today. As much as I like Maurice she's gonna need someone just as strong now and it's just not him
    • Today's episode was one of my favorites so far! TT's Anita standing up to Dana was perfect. I was surprised with how restrained Dani was, in some scenes, I forgot she was there. The ending "Amazing Grace" montage was brilliant. I like how Vernon's reason complements Anita's emotion. DD was terrific portraying her mixed sense of betrayal and humiliation. I liked her comment about how she condescended to Dani after her breakup with Bill, unaware that she was also married to a cheater. I am going to miss MJ as Ted and I don't agree with the criticisms of his acting. His conduct on social media is a different story. I agree that BC's Martin has come into his own. He and MM have also discovered some chemistry which allows them portray a believable couple. Eva is the most empathetic character for me. Seeing get locked out of the apartment was heartbreaking. I also liked that the writing for Kat has been much more nuanced than one might have expected just weeks ago. I liked the expression on Kat's face at the end when she was embracing Nicole. Kat has probably never seen her calm, poised mother so upset. CM's face portrayed a sense of discomfort now that the carer/child roles have been somewhat reversed. I believe now more than ever that Kat is Ted and Dana's child. Eva is Ted and Nicole's child. Dana switched them as insurance - if Bill came after her to take or harm Eva, Dana would reveal that Eva was actually a Dupree, giving her some protection. She would also be secure in the fact that her birth daughter Kat was ensconced in the privilege and security of the Dupree family. The way Dana raised Eva - "weaponizing" her instead of nurturing her as a loving mother - also aligns with this theory.
    • @Paul Raven - thanks for reviewing the content for accuracy.  You know, the nice thing about AI is that you can teach it things, so I am having it review the classic AMC Tumblr to increase its accuracy.
