Thanks for this--going back through the thread I was gonna mention. As Malone describes 13 Bourbon Street went through several (well two anyway) planned incarnations, the more interesting as a presumably 30 minute nightime soap (mon-fri) since Fox was looking for an alternative to late night talk shows, and then as an actual weekly primetime soap (more or less) which I think would have been less interesting. I have NO idea which version actually shot a pilot, but Logan at TVGuide sure liked to brag about seeing it and loving it back in the day. But it sounds like the pilot was for the 30 minute late night soap Malone was interested in. If Malone had a copy, I wonder where it is now (are his papers and archives hosted anywhere? :P )
Also how great would Lonette McKee be on it?? I loved her ever since at 15 seeing her in Toronto on the preBroadway run for the phenomenal Hal Prince new take on Show Boat (one of the best things I've ever seen on stage) where she played the "mixed race" Julie (a role she had gotten Tony nominated for 15 years earlier in an earlier revival--though I think she was too young then.) I'm ashamed to say I never knew she went on to have a role on ATWT which I wasn't watching... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdkWyH7qGdE
