You should. I would be interested in reading what you thought of it. It's Anne and Jaz do Middle East. She said she would do many things differently now, but loved the experiment. Anne is great. Too bad she doesn't do music for more Hollywood films and more str./orch. arrangements in pop.

Was so pissed off this video didn't make her recent DVD.

It's one of the great vids David Fincher did for her (along with Vogue, Express Yourself and Bad Girl, which was also dropped from the recent DVD) and makes me wish all the more his plans to do a movie musical (a dark, "creepy one" apparently) come to happen

Yes, but strangely, it's only on The Immaculate Collection Video Collection, though the song itself isn't on the album version of The Immaculate Collection.

Yep, he did some amazing cinematic videos for her in the late 80's and early 90's. I'd really like to see what he could so with a musical.

The Bad Girl video is excellent, though apparently, Mark Romanek was her first choice to direct that video, but it didn't work out, but he later directed the Rain and Bedtime Story videos for her. Bad Girl does appear on the 93-99 Video Collection, though.

rumour is that's one reason both were left off--so that die hard fans would buy those past video collections too. I wouldn't put it past Madonna.

(He did some good work for George Michael and Paula Abdul too--like the All That Jazz/Fosse hommage for Paula's Cold Hearted Snake. One thing about Fincher is he films dance REALLY well, somethign he got from his love of Fosse, so I hope if he does a movie musical he does one with dancing. He was fighting hard to do Evita, I'm a bit surprised Madonna didn't try to champion him for it.)

Yes, I do occasionaly. I like some of her stuff, but I wouldn't go so far as to call myself a fan or anything. the only modern group I'm really a fan of is this:

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
