Most of the time in his career Harding "Pete" Lemay was HW & Breakdown Writer & Daily Script Writer, all, a one man show, and, among other things, he burned out. And, Josh Griffith is no Pete Lemay.

Yeah didn't DAYS cast take pay cuts? I doubt PB, MTS, EB et al would take pay cuts

I'm sure some of them have taken cuts in recent years. But when you have that many top line stars it's not enough.

Yeah I remember comments even from year's back that YR has a lot of vets on contract compared to most soaps

Really no way to know without it being put to them as a necessity. 

Well, Y&R already has no storylines, no sets, no memorable music, and no artistic direction. The cast and the rich history of the characters is literally all they have so they'd better preserve that.

Even Logan is taking shots. As some will recall, he does not do that often unless he feels the target (like Ron at GH in 2015) is vulnerable.
