Did you ever notice that Stephanie takes so long to write her press releases (because she's flirting and typing at the same time), that the news usually changes since she started the project?

e.g. Chanel's arrest and Sonny's stabbing

Susan Was supposed to be the comic relief, but the writers are so one note they try that with her being a fool who talks too much, and doesn't know anything, the fact is Susan has brains, she showed it sometimes through the years (stealing Kristen's Identity, Paying her back by selling her to The Harem, Resurrecting Will and Brainwashing him into EJ) as For Kristen she was meant to be a Criminal Mastermind with Layers, With Sincere Feelings for some people, a Complex Character, the writers just don't explore those things well enough otherwise it's probable Stacy Would've been nominated for the Emmy at least 3 times, And probably won once, she's not Eileen but she's very good

Susan made it for Marlena for her wedding day to John in 2018.  She even copied the 1999 dress from their wedding, so it's supposed to be a one-of-a-kind gift.  Susan gave it to her on screen back then and Marlena just kept it in a box all these years.  So it's odd in that it's a handcrafted doll Susan decided to make as a wedding gift, but it's not a mass market doll others can buy in Salem USA.

Lol!  I actually have one in the box that my mom bought for me in 1999/2000.    Good to know there is a market still, but I want to say they were really expensive when they came out.  Maybe even more than that lol.  There is an Erica Kane one too and I think I have that somewhere as well.

You know, there are two other gay characters out there, both of whom are absolutely perfect and absolutely gorgeous, for Sonny to cheat with, just sayin. This [!@#$%^&*] will never be believable, no matter what.

And, as much as I love Zach Tinker in the role, I have to ask, why is he always crying?

I kind of liked drunk Eric, and that jab to EJ's face was amazing  It was a side of Eric that we've never really seen before, and I hope the show delves more into it.

Pretty much just on the Youtube channel and the Twitter page. I've seen some ads on Peacock, but they were about everything that Peacock offers, not just Days.

I predicted this crap 2 months ago I believe. That's all they do with Stacy. Either Stacy dresses like Susan or she wears a fake mask. Yeah, is that all you got, sis? Big whoop.

This is common with Ron and it's also what he's tried to do with Leo, Gwen, etc. and characters on his other shows (hence the attempts at cockeyed redemption arcs for Leo and Gwen which deliberately try to drag down more conventional protagonists to compare unfavorably with them). It's why they're trying to pair Leo with Sonny too. 'The love of a good man.'

It's not like that kind of story in soaps with reformed antagonists or schemers is not as old as the hills, BTW. That in and of itself is not a bad trope. But it's how Ron does it - and how far he takes them both before the 'redemption' and after, while vacillating and wanting the character both ways - that always wrecks the execution. And frankly Kristen cannot and should not be redeemed IMO.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
