He's conscious he isn't the show's best actor his bod is a guarantee he'll stay on, especially considering most of Nick's Storylines were/are around Nick's Love/Sex life, and particularly I think he improved considerably with Age, young Nick's didn't look attractive enough to me to be that disputed

Traci dodged a bullet by having the Cane connection dropped.

On the one hand,it would be nice to reveal that Traci has a man in her life, someone she sees in NY when she there-a casual , mature relationship. He could even turn up in GC fotr a couple of days.

OTOH it is also a good message to show that Traci, like a lot of women her age is single and happy.

What do others think?

tbf, he was actually rocking the dad bod there for a bit.

While I felt he could bring that primal caveman lust look...especially during his amnesiac storyline which is where I felt he look his finest aka primal caveman...I never found him attractive at all during his prime frat boy days aka when he was younger. Funny since I loved the story of Nick/Sharon/Matt back in the day. For me, he's aged like fine wine lookwise. Or it's just the scruff. But like I said...from the amnesiac storyline to now, I know he's an acquired taste in the look departments.

I know this cheese stands alone. It doesn't help he has a nice bubble either and a cameraman on this show that is extremely good at camera angles also does not help.   I guess I can see why JM doesn't like to wear suits in real life. But I should probably stop right there before this turns into a...risque conversation.

hehe. Exactly! Young Nick is sooo forgettable barring his Nikki comparison to Victoria's Victor comparison that used to go on back in the day under William Bell.

For me it is the perennial issue of male soap actors dying their hair so there's no hint of grey which winds up looking odd because most men with receding hairlines are naturally salt and pepper.  I'm not saying that everyone should go the Christian LaBlanc/Michael E. Knight route to total gray-town, but Billy and Jack's single tone dye jobs are verging on shoe polish territory.

I think that was the first time in a minute that I've liked Phyllis. Loved her reunion with Daniel. I've loved all of Daniel's scenes so far. And HAHAHAHAHAHA at Billy already trying to mark his territory with Lily with Daniel giving him dust.

I will always live for Abbott family table time...but ooooo at how shady Ashley was being.

Speaking of messy, I see Nick/Sally/Adam continue to be just that.

On the shallow level....mmmmmm Nate suuuuure looked like he was packing in that vest when he went to have dinner with Elena and saw Devon and Tucker. I was...WOOF!!! lol. However, I know with Amanda gone, we are not about to have Devon/Elena/Nate again, are we?

    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
    • The Bell soaps, B&B and Y&R: cannot watch. If I went by the last time I did I would have to give them both D- but I really don't think it counts when you're not a daily watcher.  DAYS: B+ (Now this is with the knowledge that for years I have given this show a D- because I've been a fan for too long to give it the F it deserved.) GH: A+ (With Korte driving this bus to me the show is so much better! IMO we just had the best NB in so many years I cannot count!) BTG: A solid (Things I love, a few I do not, nothing I hate, still find it in general remarkable.) As always, thanks for doing this thread. I count it. I always look for it & I always post.
    • Okay, I continue to maintain that what is so good about this particular reveal followed by umbrella storyline is that you can see & understand many different points of view where there is not one bad guy or one 100% right person.  About your stated opinion, that Lois & Gloria did the right thing, you know that this was technically an illegal adoption? For it to have been legal the father, if known, would have to have been informed & have signed off on terminating his own paternal rights. And, of course, it is clear how many people they lied to.  Personally I feel like Lois is going to take the biggest "public" blame with Lulu a close second in the blame category. I am looking forward to a tongue lashing I hope Brook Lynn gives to Gloria. I continue to be more than annoyed with Dante. First his attitude toward Gio with regards to Rocco & a drinking game & its results. Second his attitude toward Lulu. Meanwhile enjoying the show every day!
    • Lois and Gloria did the right thing I feel knowing it was Camila that raised Gio has BL feeling some jealousy No one is saying that Camila was a bad mother to Gio I believe it will be Gio saying that Camila was great to him, thanking Lois and Gloria to get BL to see truth
