Vault is temporarily down - I'll get it back up within a few hours.

It's working fine now. :)

Question for the B&B group: I see @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded multiple seasons from Videoland ❤️ (in the folders that are to be put away). They are huge folders and difficult to download so I started breaking them down into months but I realized they are by season so for example, Season 4 spans from March 1990 to March 1991. Now I'm wondering where to actually place them, since we have the Full Episodes section divided by year, not seasons. And most of these seasons we already have in full, so these are duplicates.

Not sure if it's necessary to keep the older versions. I could just make another new section for Seasons, so the main folders would be "Behind the Scenes and Interviews," "Clips," "Full Episodes," "Full Seasons," "Music CDs," and "photo archive Marquise" but I'm not sure that really makes sense.

Also wondering since we have almost every full episode now if "Clips" can be deleted in its entirety, as it's nearly 300GB.

If the new and improved copies that @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded can be manually moved into the "by month, by year" folders, that would be awesome. I personally don't think it's necessary to keep the older versions (which either have Dutch subtitles hard coded on them, or are lesser in picture quality). That's a lot of valuable drive space that could be cleared. Just my view but can appreciate others may feel differently. The structure had been by month by year previously, so I think it would be easier to conform to that, where so much prior work to get it to that format has already been done. Hopefully you can "drag and drop" so the new copies are in the right month/year?

Re Clips, I never look at them now we pretty much have the episodes in full. Appreciate others may use, however.

Thanks for all your hard work here @BoldRestless!

I’ve never watched GL in my entire life (except when I was scrolling through channels as a kid) and decided to just pick up In January 1999 and start watching. I’ve watched about 6 episodes so far and I’m already hooked. Wow. I forgot how easy to was to pick up watching a soap opera in the middle of a storyline. They really spent a lot of time on the plots and it drew you in even as a new viewer. It’s so hard to do that with soaps now.. it just ain’t the same !

I just did the same with GL back in March of this year. I started with February 1995 and I got hooked!  I'm now in November 1996.  Come join the GL tribute thread and tell us your thoughts!

I’ll definitely check that out!

This is not per se about the vault, which does not mean we do not shower it & its keepers with all the love & appreciation we can muster, since we do.

But, at some point in the recent months, I believe it was here that someone posted "Rachel on Bluesky's" Episodes on Google Drives links. I have just found that her DAYS link returns an error that tells me the contents of the drive were taken down. So I checked all of her other links & they are fine. To be specific, this is the one defunct link:

Days: https://mega.nz/folder/8ucnQDoR#BPvY739-6VRt1a99jigOiQ gone

I looked at her profile on Bluesky to see if there was any notation in her bio info, but no intel at all about this.

All of her other shows look fine, ordinary, no changes.

Hi all

I've added a couple of episodes to the vault. Episodes 112 and 168 which have the correct music and dialog unlike the German DVD releases where the dialog was missing and the music changed.

Yes in the German releases the music was changed and dialog was muted and subtitles used.

Thanks! I love those Caroline and Thorne scenes. I do remember on the DVD version, random music was piped over Katie and Rocco at the nightclub, so no dialogue could be heard.

That music was just awful lol.

I was wondering if and when the 2000's episodes onwards will be added to the vault ?

to the fault! Silly autocorrect!!

Daytime Emmys, there is a file that does not show its date. Instead it's filename is IMG*.mov but it is actually the year 2000 so that filename could be fixed. Now, the vault is missing the year 2001. My personal collection is also missing that one year. Does anyone have or know where that year's ceremony might be?

Here's some more information about our missing year: Held May 18, 2001, at Radio City Music Hall & hosted by Kathy Lee Gifford. ATWT won for Best Show with Martha Byrne winning Best Actress & Lesli Kay Best Supporting Actress. David Canary won Best Actor with Michael E. Knight taking home Best Supporting Actor. So, those top spots were split between ATWT and AMC.
