Only DAYS would have a character pass out due to poisoning on a Tuesday, then not follow up on it until Friday. Who's idea was it to have Sonny passed out on the floor for 3 days?

They need to change the pacing so that 1 day in Salem isn't stretched out over a week. It should be 1 -2 episodes max unless it's a big event like a wedding.

Side note:  My mom loves to recall the time she and her mom were watching a soap called Somerset in the 70's, and they went on vacation for 2 weeks right when a character was shot dead and fell behind a couch out of sight. They thought for sure they'd be so out of the loop with the storyline when they returned, but as it turned out, 2 weeks later and the people of Somerset still had yet to discover the body!

Douglas Marland would do this as well on ATWT back in the 80s.

I think it's more frustrating on Days because of how poorly written the soap is. Viewers like you and others are looking for something good to watch on a continuous basis. Viewers see a story that might have potential but its not on daily and then there's frustration.

I have zero faith in the Sonny story considering it features Leo who I loathe and it's being written by a horrible HW with a terrible track record.

What’s with his fascination with rape? I wish he would create some rules for himself. No masks. No non-consensual sex (or situations where someone questions whether they’ve been violated when they were unconscious). No DID. He’s so lazy.

This whole Sonny and Leo story is an example of something where I think the idea was great, but the execution of it poor.

I could totally get into Sonny coming back to town and seeking revenge on Leo for what he did years ago. I was fine with the idea of Sonny being obsessed about it to the point it might start harming his marriage, but one the first major mistakes was when it came down to blowing apart Leo and Craig, they had Sonny go MIA and it was Chad that showed up at the wedding. Should have been Sonny.

Then the current phase, Leo making an enemies list and seeing counter revenge, once again, sounds like a good idea that I'd be interested in seeing, but his revenge against Sonny was both problematic and stupid.

First, while I'm fairly certain no sex actually took place, drugging someone, stripping them naked, then sending pictures to a gossip site, is both assault and revenge porn. Unless you are going to treat it as such and write it in a serious way, those kinds of plots need to be left in the past. They aren't acceptable in 2022.

It's also dumb. What's Leo's aim? Sonny already figured out he was drugged, which I'm sure he'll tell Will, so Will is likely to only believe Leo's story in the Intruder for maybe all of 5 minutes. There's a million other better or interesting things they could have had Leo to do Sonny.

The best part of Friday's show was Will and of course Sonny.

I guess the wardrobe department had to buy a new suit for Zach. He looked good in the suit.

When Will first appeared I thought he had a man purse. Nope it was satchel bag for his laptop.

When Doug died on May 1st, 1989, it was a huge loss to the show, the other actors & also to the fans.

    • Jonathan Kellerman is definitely the most EON/Slesar-like writer in the business right now.  Unfortunately, he's almost 80 years old.  Interestingly, he has a son (Jesse Kellerman) who's about 45, who's been studying under him.  I believe what makes the Kellermans such effective mystery & crime writers is their background in psychology.
    • I never understood the point of Marchetti. Summer left the show for a job there in Italy. OK. When she returned they had Jack buy the company. Why couldn't Summer have returned and simply stated it was not a good fit, she missed her home , family/friends etc It was absurd that this internationally successful fashion empire could just be bought by a US cosmetics firm at the drop of a hat. What was the point when they never did anything with it at all? Summer simply could have gone to work at Jabot. And wasn't there some nonsense about an offshhoot called Marchetti Home? Was Phyllis attached to that at some point? This show...

    • Haven't seen today's ep yet but so will be interested to see the clothes. So far I think they have been very character specific (even if I don't like some of them eg Kat's cutsie style) Anita is very showy/glittery, Nicole classic elegance, Dani sexy/bold colors etc. Unlike Y&R which seems much more generic. Also BTG pays attention to the men's wardrobe and has developed a style for the boyz-which is harder to do with male fashion. The absence of any of Derek/Ashley at any of these big events again demonstrates how they are in a different universe to the rest of the show. Not that a nurse and a fireman would be there but still they seem destined at this point to stay in their own lane and have little interaction with the core of the show.
    • Agnes had written for Bernard Grant for many years on TGL as well as Ernest Graves and Joe Gallison,Doris Belack,Robert Milli, and  Antony Ponzini at AW. So she would probably gravitate to writing a role with an actor in mind or choosing someone she had written for before who she knew could deliver.
    • Once Johnny Dallas' cut himself off from Laurie Ann Karr and their son, and once Laurie successfully recovered from her mental problems, she wanted a new, fresh, and healthy start for the next chapter of her life. She legally reverted her name and changed John Victor's  surname to Karr. After moving to the country (when Teri  Keane was dropped from the show), Bill and Martha Marceau legally adopted Jennifer, the baby girl whom they had earlier taken in when the child's biological mother, Taffy Simms (and other bio family members) proved to be unfit to raise her. Jennifer legally and emotionally became a Marceau, and gave that name to her own daughter, whom Jennifer birthed through surrogacy as a single parent. Et...voila! The Karr and Marceau legacies live on.
