For the second time this month, “The Bold and the Beautiful” hit a new season high in Total Viewers and attracted its largest overall audience since the week of April 20-24, 2020, the final week of pre-pandemic originals.

During the week of April 18-22, 2022, the half-hour daytime drama series averaged 3.213 million viewers, placing it in fourth place behind only the second and first half hours of “The Price is Right” (4.795 million/4.212 million) and “The Young and the Restless (3.672 million). The soap gained +145,000 viewers week to week and was up +479,000 viewers compared to the same week last year, according to Nielsen. In Households, the series hit a 2.2 rating/10 share, up +0.3 over the same week last year (2.2/10 vs 1.9 rating/8 share).

In the key sales demos, “B&B” tied “Y&R” and the first half-hour of “The Price is Right” for second place in Women 25-54, each with a 0.7 rating. In Women 18-49, “B&B” and “Y&R” were tied for third place, each with a 0.4 rating. Compared to the same week last year, “B&B” was up in Women 25-54 (0.7 vs 0.6 rating).

Note: During the week of April 20-24, 2020, the final week of originals aired before the pandemic shut down production on “B&B” and TV programming across the world, the half-hour series averaged 3.275 million viewers.

A look at how daytime broadcast performed overall during the week of April 18-22, 2022 will be posted shortly.

I'm a bit surprised, I didn't feel the show had much movement last week.  Steffy waking up thinking she is married to Liam; Sheila hovering and lurking around corners, lol.  Although Carter and Quinn had some airtime which was a nice nod, that pairing seemed to lure in viewers last year.  The show also may of had a little help from Y&R's lead-in, which if I do the math had a good week and gained 250,000 viewers.
