Days of Our Lives: April 2022 Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

Weird Sonny was so obsessed with exposing Leo. Yet he wasn't there. I can't feel sorry for Craig at all. As much of a trainwreck as it was. At least stuff was happening. And no Devil nonsense. It makes me sad that Craig & Nancy were destroyed for this.

I wonder if Zach Tinker wasn't available to film and that's why we got the quick throw away line from Chad that Sonny got a work call. It makes NO sense Sonny wouldn't have been there.

The best part of the episode was when Leo says looks at all these angry judgmental faces and the camera immediately cuts to Missy Reeves. I almost died of laughter.

KS did well today, but yeah still no sympathy for Craig. He deserves what he gets.

I’ll be honest, Jackie out of drag is cute

But as for the wedding, I do find it a little sad that the soap that had the most beautiful same-sex wedding I’ve ever seen (Will and Sonny’s) now has same-sex weddings like this.

I'll admit that I was smiling and laughing throughout the whole episode today. I know it's all stupid but I was entertained. I'll take Leo's wedding hijinks over possession or Sarah crap any day.

Absolutely ridiculous that Sonny wasn't there though.

I'm surprised they showed Leo slapping Craig's ass at the beginning of the episode.

I would be less bothered if they did not retcon a 25 year character just so that we could laugh and jeer at him and his pathetic stereotype love interest. Once again there is zero respect for the past, zero interest in anything from Ron but  more hostility toward gay men.

He will probably either disappear, or try to sexually assault a younger man for chuckles.

The smugness and delusion of those tweets from Jamey and Ron really gets me. No wonder so many men in this industry stay closeted when you have material like this which is so deliberately humiliating and stigmatizing. And neither of them have an ounce of talent to back it up either.

    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
    •   Thank you! Agreed on both posts. And the comments about Mike Manning are nonsense.
    • I haven't watched yet, but did they explain the current ownership of The Bistro?  Because when RonC was writing, wasn't he applying for work with Sophia?
    • I think Brandon has gotten better in normal day to day scenes, but he’s very over the top when the character is meant to be angry or agitated. I did laugh when she started yelling at Leslie and then when he started to throw all those damn books, lol. He needs an acting coach to work out some of these kinks.
    • I've never found him as bad as some. I think he's always shined in scenes with Vernon, who should be his father. I also think he has great chemistry with Kat and Dani which I hope they tap into more over time. Dani/Martin feel like such a fun and believable Auntie/Nephew relationship.
    • I'm fighting for my life on another board for my husband Brandon and I'll do it here too lmao
