I was an adult in the 80s. Nancy & Ron inhabited the White House & never once uttered the word AIDS. I can't tell you how many friends of mine died. Huge changes in phones, TV, cable. Being online got to be a thing. DOS 3.0. My first PC. Dial-up at 14.4! Soaps & music, of course, were phenomenal. If I recall correctly that's when we went from long distance charges being horrendous to much more reasonable fees. Ronnie was wrong about trickle down but right about telecommunications.
