JVA played her with more of a real edge, like she could be dangerous in the right situation instead of Daffy Ducking about. Joan Van Ark was light years ahead of Judith Chapman playing Gloria. JVA's Gloria was vulnerable, dangerous, and subtle. You could see how she'd been crushed under Tom Fisher's thumb. Judith Chapman is playing to the back rows of the house every single time she's onscreen. Let's hope this 'visit' is a momentary one.
